My DD ( 4 1/2) loves to play with her cousins Pixters. They are the older style that is black and white. I want to get her one for Christmas, but I can't decide if I should get her the black and white (around $30) or go with the newer color ones (around $75). There is a big price jump. I'm scared to spend too much, since she has never played with any one electronic game that much.

She has not played with the Pixter that often, but the few times she has, she LOVES it.

Just to add: I would need to buy the carrying case and accessories. So, the prices would all be a little bit higher.

(BTW-I just found one on Amazon--It's a pink Barbie one that is black and white for $15. Hmmm...I'm thinking I might have to go with that just for the price.)

What do you think? I just keep thinking "She's only 4! Is this too much money?" My neice and I went shopping and she thought that I should buy the more expensive one. Hmmmm....I'm confused. I would love your input.

If my child absolutely loved 1 toy--I would go for it and not buy anything else that is expensive. That 1 toy could be played with 10x as much as a ton of less expensive toys she doesn't really want.
Me--personally--I would go with the color one.

I would go with the colored one also. With things like this you just never know. She might really love the toy, or she might just really love playing with theirs because it is something different than she normally gets to play with. You know her best, but if you think this is something that she would really like and use allot, I would go with the color one. If she does really like it, you would likely have to move up to that one anyway!!
