Moms View Message Board: General Discussion Archive: Archive September 2005: I am back from my ultrasound
Sorry it took so long. I went to the doctors and they did an internal ultrasound. There was a sack!!! There still was no baby though. She sent me to another place to get another ultrasound. I went straight there, and the lady was soooo sweet. She said that she is not allowed to tell me anything, but if she sees a baby or a heart beat, she will show me. She saw the sack and showed me. She said that it could still be too early to see anything. I am only measuring 5 weeks 5 days. My doctor just now called and said that it is definatelty a gestational sack, but we will see next Friday when they do another ultrasound what they are going to do. She said it could still be too early to tell or it could be a failed pregnancy. I am going to the Vampire again tomorrow to get my HCG Levels measured once more. That should tell us more. Now, I just have to wait to next Friday to find out what we are going to do. She 99.5% ruled out ectopic.

Oh Rayanne, ((BIG HUG)). I've been through this same exact thing. It is a rollercoaster! Hang in there. I'll keep on praying.

I have been showing Chris all of your comments thorughout everything that has been going on, and he had a tear going down his cheeck. I asked him what was wrong, and he said that he thinks that it is so sweet that ladies I have never met in person are so sweet to me. I told him that we are a support group for eachother and we all care about one another. He just gave me a big hug and said that i was lucky to have such wonderful E-Friends.
So sorry you are playing such an emotional waiting game. I will keep you all in my prayers...take care of yourself!

Rayanne you are so strong to have to go through this. I don't want to get your hopes up but like I said before. When I spotted they did all the bloodwork ect... Like they are doing with you. They also did the ultrasound but it was to soon to "see" her and the heartbeat ect... I also had to go back again and my daughter is alive and kicking. I don't think I had to wait quite as long though. Good luck.

I'm so sorry you have to wait like this! Did they do an internal u.s. from the beginning? My doc said we'd never see anything with a regular u.s. that early. We had internals at 6 and 12 weeks because I'd had a miscarriage before. Stick with the internals if they will do them.
Yes, they did internal ultrasounds so far. I had one external to look for other things.
Rayanne I hadn't said anything earlier, but know that you have been in my prayers. And it is a possibility that is is just too early. I tell you no lie and when I became pregnant with Justin I knew I was pregnant before my body did, and what I mean by that is that I had three urine test at home all negative but I just felt pregnant so I had my blood drawn at the doctors and it was also negative. So the next month I had my cycle it just ended a day early but it sent me to a different doctor where I had my blood drawn once again and low and be hold 4 days later when I called for the results I was pregnant. The doctor sent me for a ultrasound/sonogram immediately and they where all shocked to see that I 7 1/2 weeks along. So the first blood test where wrong, I was told that my HGC levels weren't high enough that once your over a certain number it's considered that you are pregnant.
