I slept on the sofa last night, I just couldn't get comfortable in bed.

I got up a 3 am and heard DH get up as well. He told me this morning that he awoke with a scratching sound in his ear and it wouldn't stop. He went to the washroom and cleaned his ear with a Q-tip and a bug popped out. He said it looked like a lady bug but much smaller.

This is the grossest thing I have ever heard! I'm so glad I slept on the sofa last night, I would have had to gone into therapy if that happened to me.

He's lucky it came out. A friend of mine had to have one removed from her ear in the ER!

My MIL had a bug in her ear once (I can't remember what it was, it was long and black). She got to our house and was complaining about it. My DH jokingly suggested using the vacuum attachment. We all looked at each other and the next thing you know we had sucked that bug right out of her ear! She was so relieved and it was really hysterical

If that happened to me in my house you can bet that I would call the bug guy and have my house tented! Yikes, that would freak me out.

Well I won't be calling the exterminator anytime soon being pregnant and having a little one.

Anyway it was just a lady bug. I saw another one in the house today. They are teenie tiny, about 1/4 the size of a regular lady bug. I'm not sure if they are babies or just another species of the regular sort. The Asian Lady Bug has completely knocked out our nice native species about 3 years ago. These asian lady bugs are much more aggressive and even bite.

Our house is fairly bug proof now that we have new windows and doors but that dog of mine brings in all kinds of stuff.

Anyway, haven't decided where I'm sleeping tonight, might just put some cotton in my ears!
