Anyone use Vonage phone service? (voip) We are switching and I have heard good things so far- but thought I might ask here and see what your experience has been so far?

Yes, we use Vonage for our second line, and long distance. We chose a NH telephone number that would be a local call for my Mom. (She calls my DD often.)

Every now and again, the service is not so good, and I have to use line 1, but it's been good for us. HTH

Eve, thanks so much for your post!! I have been gone all day and am just now getting back to this post.

I was wondering about when the internet is down, etc... I hadnt thought of keeping our original line as a back up. I think we will just use our cell phones when the service isnt good? I am excited to have long distance again! lol We have been using calling cards from Sams Club for 2 yrs now as our long distance or I use my cell phone to call long distance. argh! Anyway, we set up the Vonage last night and so far so good.
