Didn't recognize my daughter!

My 15 yr old dd just came into work to show me her new haircut... I didn't recognize her until she walked up to my window! LOL She usually wears her hair in a ponytail, and it was down, but cut shorter..she had on a new shirt and was carrying her new purse...she was gorgeous!
She looked like she'd gotten older overnight, and I wasn't watching! Can she really be a sophomore already? *sniff*

I know how you feel Janet....its going too fast! You should post a pic!

I know how you feel, too, Janet! Lucky for me though, my 15 yr-old still has her braces on. That makes me feel a LITTLE better! (Although, I don't think the boys on the beach are looking at her braces, LOL!)

After Sarah cut her hair short, for Locks of Love, she looked older, too! I can't believe she's going to be a Junior!

I hear you girls; loud and clear! LOL My 14 year dd cut her hair a bit shorter and sure looks more grown up. She's a freshmen in high school this year and it's hard to think that she will be a freshmen in college in four short years! :)

Annie, high school is going by, very quickly, as is middle school for my younger daughter! Is she really going to be an 8th grader?

When they reach a certain age, often in middle school or high school, they want to cut their hair, and it's amazing and surprising how much those few inches affect their overall look - I find it makes most of them look older! And of course, that's the main reason most of them do it - to look older! They seem to transform quickly during those years.

She also made the transition to a "real" bra over the weekend... She's very small in the chest (especially next to most of her classmates!) and has been wearing sports bras for several years. Saturday she wanted to get a real bra (to help her look more like her classmates, LOL) and we found the Playtex line, "Thank Goodness It Fits," which was a lifesaver. She's "nearly A" cup, but at least she has a cup with slight padding, which gives her a more mature look (but not fake). My college roomie wore that size, I remember, which my dd couldn't believe. :)

My oldest is going to be a junior and my youngest starts junior high this year. Just yesterday they were in elementary and now they are growing up. What happened? My youngest is looking much older then she is right now(13). I remember when my oldest went through that and it's a little hard on the mom's heart to have that happen.

Well, we've been in "real" bras for a while...my 15 yr-old is a D cup. :( Our problem is finding bras that give enough support that she doesn't feel look "old-lady-ish," like her mom's! Of course, mom needs much more support! HMM...my "D cups" sure don't look like hers anymore! LOL
