What's for dinner?
We are having BBQ'd chicken, corn on the cob and maybe lyonnaise potaotes on the grill. MMMmmm. Since dh BBQ's, I pretty much just have to show up at the dinner table!
A good friend of ours just brought us over some lasagna and sweet corn. Made my day after hurting my wrist so none of us have to cook So nice to have good friends. Annie, what are lyonnaise potatos??
leftovers!! or we are ordering out
I slice up potatoes, layer them up with sliced onions and minced garlic. Sprinkle them with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), season with salt and pepper. For the grill I wrap them up in a heavy tin foil pouch and grill away! Remember to turn them often, keep away from flames and make sure the foil is greased up so they don't stick to it. You can also bake the pouch in the oven. They are truly tasty. You can also add on cheddar cheese or a spicy pepperjack. I hope you are feeling a bit better, Kathy!
Dh is making grilled pizza - cheese for the dks, chicken, pesto, kalmata, sundried tomatoes for him and I.
Possibly chicken tacos....
Leftovers! DD had a sleepover on Friday so we have pizza leftover from that and DH had a "Guys Night" here last night so we have leftover burgers & dogs from that.
roast beef, noodles with white sauce, green beans and homemade bread (bread machine). Yum! I love how the house smells with bread cooking!
We don't have red meat often but tonight we had broiled steak with fresh tomatoes cut and topped with Italian dressing, steamed wax beans and baked potatoes. I picked wild black raspberries in our yard today and made muffins. Yum!
Wild mushroom and pesto lasagne, salad with fresh strawberry and mango with a black currant vinaigrette. B&B Chocolate souffles for dessert.
We had pork chops over rice with a mushroom soup/soy sauce mixture and zucchini sauteed in butter and a few jalapenos to spice it up a bit. I needed a quick dinner tonight.
We had grilled tilapia marinated in ceasar dressing, peel and eat steamed shrimp, with a tossed salad and corn on the cob. Home made bread pudding for dessert
Again! Someone always posts this on a Sunday or Wednesday which are crazy church nights for us. I really do cook from scratch most nights but tonight...hmmmm...let's see. The boys had frozen chicken nuggets, I had a slimfast bar, and DH isn't back home from church yet, so he's had nothing. LOL
