Run................and go buy the New Swiffer Sweep and Vac!
It is awesome for all the dust, crumbs etc..
I can't rave enough about it. Goodbye broom, hello Swiffer!!!

P.s. You can download a $5.oo off coupon at Swiffer.com...Enjoy :)

I've never seen this...I'll have to check it out. Thanks, Stori.

My DD LOVES to Swiffer. The other day she had put a wet swiffer on the reg. Swiffer and was cleaning the floor. God, I love that kid!! LOL!

By Mrsheidi on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 03:53 pm:

Eve, can I have your child?

Floors and Fridge are the "F" words around here...don't mention it and no one gets hurt! I can't stand cleaning either!!!

By Breann on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 04:08 pm:

My dd loves to swiffer too :) We are huge swiffer fans here. Haven't got the new sweep and vac though! I'm jealous!

By Crystal915 on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 05:13 pm:

I may have to get this. I'm really particular about my floors, I sweep a couple times a day, and mop by hand a couple times a week. I wasn't sure if I'd like the sweep and vac, and hadn't heard any opinions on it. Thanks, Stori!!

By Bellajoe on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 05:23 pm:

I use my Dyson vacuum to sweep my kitchen floors. I just switch it to "bare floors" it lowers and off i go! It works well.

By Andi on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 05:26 pm:

I sweep a couple times a day...I usually sweep it into piles then get the vac out to finish it off.

By Trina~moderator on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 05:44 pm:

Sweep 2x a day?!?! Umm, not me. More like every 2-3 days. smileyashamed I either vacuum or sweep into my central vac dustpan.

By Jann on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 06:29 pm:

Is this just for carpets?

By Eve on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 06:45 pm:

I finally looked this up online and it looks perfect! With the Swiffer sometimes I am left with a little pile to sweep up. But, I love that it gets all those dust bunnies! I'm going to give this a try. I'm always sweeping with all of our wood floors. I get dust bunnies under everything--drives me nuts!

Heidi-I'll send my DD right over. Her favorite chore right now is cleaning the toilet bowl. LOL! She cried when my DH did it! He had to take her to another toilet just to let her do it. What a nutty kid.:)

By Mrsheidi on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 08:10 pm:

Ha ha ha...that cracks me up Eve!! You'll have to remind her of that when she's 16! Ha ha ha... and, yes, DO send her over. I have a yellow lab that won't stop shedding no matter how many times I condition her hair. Tell her that her new favorite chore is picking up yellow lab hair...we'll make it a game! And, of course, she's more than welcome to our 4 toilet bowls on 3 different levels. She probably has WAY more energy than I do to go up and down!!! LOL What a doll you have!! Too cute.

By Kate on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 09:08 pm:

How noisy is it? How hard is it to get under furniture and such? I looked it up and saw a demo...you're only supposed to turn the vac on as needed? It seems odd to me but maybe I'm not understand it correctly.

By Truestori on Friday, August 5, 2005 - 09:42 pm:

Eve,
With wood floors you will love it. It is just a quick way to get dust, hair, crumbs off the floor. It is a 10 amp motor so its not going to pick up a penny or anything but around here it serves its purpose.

Breann,
I love it, give it a try especially since you are already attached to the regular swiffer!

Patti,
Dyson, wow you are one lucky girl. Those things are so expensive. Maybe one day I'll find a really sweet deal on it.

Crystal,
you sound like me I think I'm a fanatic. I hate dust and we live in a canyon...Go figure...LOL :)

Andi,
You should just come borrow mine..LOL
We live so close, we need to meet! :)

Jane,
It doesn't work on any carpet. It is for bare floors. :)

Kate,
Its not the quietest thing but I would compare it to a hand vac on a stick with a little more power. I keep the vaccum on the whole time and it works wonderful.

Ok, I think I got everyone, didn't want to leave anyone out! Have a wonderful weekend ladies!!

By Jann on Saturday, August 6, 2005 - 09:13 am:

OK..I see my confusion. There is also a new product called the Carpet Flick.
This works better than just the regular Swiffer? I love my Swiffer for getting up dog hair!!!

By Kate on Saturday, August 6, 2005 - 09:19 am:

Stori, if you keep the vac on the whole time, does the swiffer cloth pick anything up? Is the vac part just a suction part or does it have a 'broom' or some sort of bristles attached?

How hard is it to get under furniture? The regular swiffer is so low it can get under most anything, but with the vac attached it seems like that option is gone.

By Andi on Saturday, August 6, 2005 - 10:45 am:

Stori...If you are ever down this way we need to get together. Going to Legoland anytime soon?????:)

By Jodes on Saturday, August 6, 2005 - 11:44 am:

I have to say, I really don't like my swiffer vac. I was really dissappointed with how fast the battery runs out. I have hardwood floors throughout my whole house, just my bedrooms are carpeted, and I find that I go through way too many swiffer cloths, and the battery is dead before I am finished, even though I know it's supposed to be just to pick up crumbs here and there, I would prefer it to be used like a vacuum cleaner, but it's not. I recently bought an oreck vacuum cleaner (which I totally love!) and it came with a portable canister that has a wonderful floor attachment, and that is now what I use on my bare floors.

By Truestori on Sunday, August 7, 2005 - 01:09 am:

Kate,
I have to admit my swiffer cloth gets dirty..lol
All of the dust makes for quite the black cloth!

It doesn't get under furniture like the regular swiffer but it can slide under enough to vaccum out hair, and dust.

Jodes,
If you are keeping your Swiffer pluged in all the time the battery runs out really fast. You may need to call for a replacement. Mine stays charged and keeps on going.

Andi,
We went to San Diego a few weekends back, but I would love to bring my son to LegoLand during the off season. We will have to plan something fun!

I'm *so* glad this thread was started at this time. We are getting laminate in a few weeks, and I was wondering how I'm going to keep it clean!
