Extreme Home Makeover
Is in my area. They're about 5-10 miles down the highway to fix up an old farm house (101 years old) with a family of six living in it. The family has 8 kids, four biological and four adopted, but only 6 living at home right now (two oldest have moved out). They woke the family yesterday morning and are sending them to Hawaii. They'll start their 7 days tomorrow. The boys want to go out there. They especially want to be there when Ty says, "Move that bus!" LOL My neighbor went out last night but they couldn't get near it (security). They were told they'd have spectator stands set up by Tuesday. It will air sometime this fall. There was an article in the paper this morning along with a "Ty watch". If we spot Ty we're supposed to let the paper know along with any digital photos. It's exciting having it so close. I don't know if we'll go out there or not. I'm one of those people that doesn't like to get in the way. I also don't like fighting big crowds just to see something. I'll let you know if my neighbor sees anyone though. She swears she saw Preston last night! rofl Her dd (almost 7yo) is a huge Ty fan. She screamed when my neighbor told her he was in town! Just thought I'd share our areas exciting new for the week. We don't get too much excitment out here.
I say take the kids for the "Move That Bus". Jade can say that cause we watch the show every Sunday night. I love it. It is exciting for them so experience it with them. Something they will never forget. Enjoy and have fun how exciting!!!!
HOW COOL, I would love to yell "move that bus". What a neat show, makes dh cry .
I'd try to help "move that bus" too! They were about 60 miles from here last year and there were people trying to get there but it was such a huge event that they finally had to turn people away. The crew was very nice about it, though. Have fun "Ty spotting"!
How cool!! I don't watch regularly, but I really enjoy it when I do. Have fun!!
I love that show!
I love that show too. Try and get a pictute of TY. He is so YUMMY!!!!
I love that show, too!! They do awesome work, but I wonder some times how people are able to pay for their cost of living on their new homes, like the electricity bills. One family's new home was built somewhat like a castle, and it was almost 5000 sq.feet.They actually gave this family $100,000.oo to help with living expenses. It's good to see families get this special help, and not see it go to someone that already has a lot of fortune.
Yes, get a pic of TY! I say go for it. This is a once in a lifetime thing for you and the kids. It would be so exciting to see and hear them say "move that bus!"
Absolutely GO! They were here last Jan? Feb? They did the house for the man who was blinded by gun shot at a Radio Shack. It was somewhere in my neighborhood. I wanted to go, but never put the effort to find out more (pregnant or newborn in the house...at that point, who wants to go looking?). I really wish I had gone to see it. I would have loved to be there for the MOVE THAT BUS! Plus it would be fun to really see exactly how things change from day 1 to day 7. When we watched the episode on TV, we really felt we had missed something by not seeing it live.
Can I come??? How exciting!
We, too, are huge fans of the show. Imagine our suprise when a producer called one of our companies to work with them on the season finale this last May for a couple of products. Our schedules wouldn't allow a trip to the build, but it was an experience of a lifetime for us. Make the effort to go to the reveal! Be there! Our experience was incredible. The heart and soul that goes into the show is something. :0)
How cool! Go!
I don't like crowds much either, but I would go! We went to downtown Sheboygan on the night of the premier of Open Range, when Kevin Costner was in town. Just had to see a movie star! We were close enough to definitely recognize him! I would go to see Ty, too! LOL!
I would go!! That would be awesome.
Maybe we'll go tomorrow. I'll only have daycare kids half the day, if at all (they have appointments). We probably won't be able to go yell "Move that bus!" because the 7th day will be next Monday and the kids have karate until 6pm and I'd imagine by that time we'd never even get anywhere close. Oh well. At least we can go before then. I do think we'll at least try to make it out there sometime. I'd love to see Ty (I agree he is major eye candy! lol). I like Paulie and the rest, too. I'll let you know when we make it.
I just showed my 15yo this thread and she would definitely want to go to see TY and to help with Move that Bus!
