Ok if this is how the long weekend is starting it better stop quick. Rich called at 9:15 and he was on his way to the ER from work. He was on the dock checking in a load of freight and the hi-low driver wasn't watching where she was going and ran over his leg and when she backed up to get off his leg ran over his foot.

He thank god did not break his leg how I don't know he has road rash on his leg from the 1000lbs hi-low. He broke his to toes the big one and the one next to it and severely sprained his ankle. It ripped the toe and the skin off of his big toe all the way around it. YUCK!

So i just took him home and filled his meds and am now back at work.

So now not only do I get to take care of 2 kids I get to take care of a whining old man.

For real though I am totally relieved that it was this minor and thank god he is OK but boy am I ready to relax this weekend.

Did you say it ripped his toe off too? OUCH! Your poor husband!

What did that poor driver do? I would have been forever terrified if I ran over someone...twice!

Sorry not his toe his toe nail and the top 2 layers of skin all the way around his tow from where it connects to teh foot all the way down and around. It looks like someone took a potato peeler to it. He is at home right now drugged up watching racing on TV in the lazy boy.

Well morning ladies, he went back to work today. His toe looks like meat that has gone through a grinder. His ankle seems to be doing real well. He is off his 2nd job for the next 2 weeks so he will only be on his foot for his 1st job and they know what happened (since it happened there) so they are not saying anything about him being slower than normal. He has to go to the clinic today for them to look him over and check to see if the ER did a good eval of the situation.

Hopefully they can give him some sort of medicated cream to help his toe. Neosporin says only use for 7 days and no more so we are already on day 5.

I'm glad his ankle feels better. I think it will be a while, before his toe all heals up. It's a good thing his employer understands.
