Dream Journals?
Anybody keep one? Has it helped you remember more details about your dreams the longer you do it? Have you tried to anaylize them and has it helped you any with your waking life? I've been keeping one for about a week now. I started it after having had a very vivid dream and wishing I could remember the details later in the day, but found that I had forgotten most of it. I have in the past had dreams that were so real that they stayed with me for a long time, but I've never kept a daily journal. The only problem I've had is remembering my dreams upon waking. Usually I'm bombarded with kids wanting this or needing that and I can't get my thoughts straight enough to write everything down until later, but by then it's too late and I only remember little snippets. I'm hoping the longer I keep the journal, the better recall I'll have!
I have thought of doing that, honestly lately my dreams are becoming troublesome, maybe if I wrote them down I could put them to bed so to speak.
I've never done it, but I've known a few people who have in the past.
I have done this and yes it does. I have done some amatuer dream analysis. I have some very very vivid dreams with lots of details, I had to keep a journal for my own sanity. It does get easier with time. You will also start to notice patterns. I can now pick up on my dreams meanings very quickly, without needed 3 or 4 to get the point across. Like when I am over committed my dreams are often very hurried, trying to get somewhere, lots of clocks, lots of delays, etc. Some are very obvious, some not so much right away. Anyway, I highly recommend a journal.
