Patriotic craft ideas?
My oldest dd will be 8 at the end of June and wants to have a patriotic themed party to celebrate. We're having 8-12 7 and 8yo boys and girls. They'll be eating lunch and swimming but I'd like to have them something to do and a cute item to take home. Does anyone have any ideas? I'd thought of decorating picture frames or flowerpots but I'm not sure how well the boys will like those ideas. TIA

You could try oriental trading. They carry craft kits and should have some patriotic themes right now. I think they offer expedited shipping.
Family Fun
I saw an ADORABLE, easy craft for 4th of July in Parents. Have you started getting issues yet? If not, let me know, I'll scan and send the page to you.
WOW! Rayanne, you were quick with those! Thanks! I'll look through them in the next couple of days. I have looked at OTC and may go with one of their crafts but I wasn't very impressed with any of them. I just got my July issue of Family Fun and they have some great crafts in there. They appear to have even more online. I haven't gotten my Parents subscription yet so I'd love to see what they have in there. Thanks for all the help, ladies, I knew I could count on you!
Okay well I finally thought of an idea..lol You could work around an olympics type theme, have a couple of games, have medals etc. For one of the quick easy easy crafts you take a glass coke bottle (i guess plastic would work), have them fill with red, white and blue m&m's, then stuff yellow tissue paper in the top (take 2 8x8 squares and the poke the middles through), take some curly ribbon to tie around the neck. Looks really cute like a torch
Kaye that is a cute idea!
