Michael Jackson Verdict is in.........
Michael Jackson's jury reaches verdicts in the child molestation and conspiracy case. Sheriff's deputies and court officials say the verdict is to be read after attorneys and Jackson reach the courthouse. The singer was told earlier that he would have about an hour to arrive from his Neverland ranch estate. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/state/20050613-1248-ca-michaeljackson.html
I read it is going to be announced at 1:30 pacific time...what time is that in central, 3 hour difference?
Not Guilty...I am amzed!!!!
Not guilty on all charges per court TV
unbelievable! I guess although I think he is very guilty I didn't think they would actual indict a celebrity in california, BUT i did think at least one or two of the alcohol charges would stick!
I thought he would be found guilty of at least the alcohol charges as well. I am really shocked...how soon before the first juror writes a book?
I am stunned! IMO, what it's saying is *IF you have money, you won't be convicted of a serious crime*. And that's JUST MY OPINION. But I base it on history - murderers, rapists, child molestors - seems like the high profile *celeb* cases are always *innocent*. Whereas, if it were just some *common Joe*, he'd be locked up, the key thrown away.... or in some cases, get the death penalty. I don't want to start a debate here, this is not the proper board for it, so I'll just leave it at that. But I am totally stunned and disappointed.....
sick! Those poor kids!
At the very least I hope that this will be a wake up call to jackson that it is inappropriate to have children around him without other adults present. I didnt follow this case so I dont know the facts so I cant comment on weather or not justice was served.
Based on the weakness of the prosecution's case - mainly the key witnesses (the family and the fact that they had been in contact with other celebrities) - I can't say I'm surprised.
Although I agree with Kay that the prosecution's case was weak, I hate that there will still be children who may be hurt by him. I wonder how many of the eight jurors that have children would let Micheal Jackson babysit for a weekend???
I believe we have not heard the last of this YET!!! Watch more children come forward now that he was found not guilty. Sometimes people just sit back and wait hoping for a good outcome and if it is not what they expect will maybe now do somethng about it. Simply amazes me. I expected the jury to be hung, not all of them agreeing!!! Even though the accusers family is nuts doesn't mean the child was not molested. One of the Motown singers (can't remember her name) was on the news here in MI last night and has known Jackson since he began as a child and even though she didn't really respond to how she felt about the verdict she suggested to Jackson to cutoff all ties to children immediately. Guilty??????
I couldn't believe what I was hearing when they were saying "Not Gulity". It goes to show what money can do for you. If that was anyone else, they would have been guilty. It just makes me sick!!!!!
