Does anyone own Microsoft Publisher Software?
The place we are going to be renting from sent me a file with pictures of the place on it but its a .pub file and I can't open it. If some one has it, can I email it to you so you can change it to .pdf. I would greatly appreciate it.
I've got it and can write to a pdf, hopefully it's the same version, microsoft is not too freindly with old vs new programs, but send it over and I'll see what I can do kbaltunis @ cox . net
Thank you for trying Kym. Ive sent the comany an email asking them to resend it in a different format.
That makes the most sense, Kristie. I get really annoyed with companies that "assume" that all of their customers have the latest and fanciest software and so they do their websites and other stuff in the most bells&whistles kind of software. Just plain jpg can be read by almost any software, and is far and away the best to use. I have problems with court reporting companies who email us transcripts, and they are in a format that some computers can't read. I have to email them back and tell them to send it in ascii, so that I can open it and send it to whomever we want to have it. Just ran into that last week, in fact. And when I optimistically had a roll of film developed and got a CD as well as prints (Kodak), I was unable to copy the photos into my emails. I had to have my son open the CE on his MAC, copy them and send them to me. Needless to say, I won't spend money that way again.
Its very fustrating that they don't make programs to run all files. But then again I guess thats how these software giants make their money. I can see how that would make your job difficult.
