Here's an idea
All of the posts about Jergens tanning lotion got me thinking about what fun it might be to do a product recommendation thread. What is the one product you can't live without? What makes it so great?
That is a good idea Karen.
It's been done, I think, but my favorite thing is no secret...Magic Eraser...cleans everything!
Dawn Power Dissolver !!! MY HERO
Nursery Spray....a must have for anyone with kids or pets.
12 packs of Coke. Ok, I'm kidding, sort of. I really don't have any one product, though Magic Erasers are up there on my list. Baby wipes are probably the thing I use most, so many quick clean-ups!!
Tiger Balm
THE INTERNET!!; Dove Dark Chocolate; a decent brand of scotch; soft toilet paper; sugar & caffeine free iced tea mix; Curel hand lotion; THE INTERNET!!!; Shout or any good stain remover; nylon scrubby pads; microwave meals!!!!!; caffeine free Diet Coke; THE INTERNET!!!!!!!! (reason - I don't want to go a day without MV)
Scrubbing Bubbles, I clean my bathroom all the time now that I found it! I love it. I love cleaning products (period) Also I like Pine Sol better than Mr. Clean, I think it leaves a better shine (at least on my floor).
I love Shout Gel with the built-in brush. I've tried so many other stain removers (Oxi-clean, Zout, Spray 'n' Wash, even spray on Shout) and nothing gets everything out. I've even gotten rid of set-in chocolate and grape juice stains with this. I also am a fan of Scrubbing Bubbles for my fiberglass tub and shower. Nothing cleans it as well as this, except Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser and this is soooo much easier!
What is nursery spray, Reds? I am with Ginny, the internet! LOL I also love the Swiffer dry cloths. Nothing picks up dog hair better.
Have to agree with Cori on this, with spring here and the kids out playing Shout is my hero!
Spot shot, for spot cleaning of carpets.
Chi Silk Infusion reconstructing complex for my hair! I've been coloring my hair for almost 20 years and I have never found a product that did so much for it. Expensive, but worth every penny. I bought a 12 fl. oz. bottle in October for $37.50 and haven't used it all yet.
Jann - it's actually called Nursery Stain & Odor Remover & Prewash, made by Totally Toddler. I was using this before I had a baby for my dogs. It gets out virtually everything. AND it smells like a baby!
Magic eraser, baby wipes, and the chlorox wipes (I'm allergic to bleach but there isn't enough in them to break me out, so I get the clean of the bleach but not the hives!!)
cool..i will have to look for it.
Huggies supreme baby wipes, plain old bleach for floors and countertops, Coke in glass bottles not diet (just a fantasy, I miss it sooo much )
Downy Wrinkle Releaser. I love that stuff!
Melanie, is that something you put in the wash or is it a spray?
Ditto, Mel! We LOVE that too! It's great for taking on vacation or when you are traveling. Jann-You just spray it onto wrinkled clothing and smooth out the wrinkles. It's great for my DD's clothes too. Sometimes when she puts things away, they get balled up. LOL!
OMG, then I am racing to the store to get some! I try to iron while things are damp, but this would be wonderful.
Too funny that we all immediately thought of cleaning products I was sort of thinking of grooming products, like the hair conditioner Karen mentioned. My favorite can't live without is probably Glysomed hand cream (with gloves overnight) and Burt's Bees sheer colour lip balm in Rhubarb, great colour and nice and minty. For baby, I would have to say Gerber baby wash and baby lotion, it smells sort of like cedar. When she is fresh out of the tub I just want to inhale her.
Okay let's add shoes to the list! I just bought a pair of shoes that are the most comfortable (although a bit ugly..lol) shoes in the entire world. They are called "crocs". They are not dressy shoes, more like flip flop, beach shoes. I wore them kayaking. Look at their website...www.crocs.com I am an absolute believer after only having these a week. I have bought 2 pair for friends.
I actually immediately thought of a beauty product, but since we seemed to be on the cleaning stuff.... ALL shoes are for me, LOL! I don't have any favorite brand, although I LOVE JCrew flip-flops. Wish I had a pair in every color!
I am a Nine West freak! I have THE most comforatable pair of Nine West Cloud Nine boots. I could go all day in them. My other favourite shoes? My super UGLY Merrel white jungle mocs in white - gotta love the nurse shoes. They are the only pair that stopped me from getting backache and sore legs/feet after a 12 hour shift, right up to 37 weeks pregnant!
I absolutely love Easy Spirit sandals. Cute and soooo comfortable!
Well, since we are talking shoes, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Born shoes - particularly the mules.
I'm addicted to Reef flip flops!
My favorite cleaning product is called Zout. I use it for stains on Rylee's clothes and our's, and they come right out. Sometimes, I have forgotten to to use the Zout to get the stain out before I washed it, and when I use it after the clothes are washed, it still comes out. I have bought clothes on clearance, because they have a stain, or a pen mark, and I use Zout and it comes right out. Shoes...I love shoes from Payless and Target. I am a BIG FLIP FLOP FAN. I don't care who makes them, just as long as they comfortable, and cheap
I just bought Coppertone's new aerosol spray sunblock for the kids. I love it. You don't have to rub it in. I especially love this feature when reapplying sunscreen after being at the beach for awhile and they have sand on thier little bodies. I'm not too sure on how long the can will last but I'm sure I'll find out after a couple of weeks since we use sunscreen daily.
Annie, that is my favorite sunblock now. It runs out much quicker, but I love how easy it is to use.
I just got some of this and love it! My youngest is so fair skinned and it has always been such a big ordeal to use sunscreen on him. But, he doesn't complain at all with this stuff.
