This is the last couple days..
that I will be pregnant.  If I don't have the baby over the weekend, I am going in on Monday morning to be induced. Even though it is not my #1 choice to be induced, I know DH wants to be here for the birth of his 3rd little girl and he has to leave to go to work on Tuesday or Wednesday. Anyway, I am dilated 1cm YAY! So that's a start, maybe I can walk some more and go into labor before I am induced. I thought maybe last night was the night because I started having some really strong contractions with cramping but I guess not since I am still here. They are still there every now and then but not regular anymore. So if I go into labor before Monday I will post (or at least try to) or I will be posting sometime next week with an update on how we are doing.
I can't believe it is really almost here.

Candis, I have to tell you this because you say being induced is not your #1 choice and I would love to hear that you have the birth that you want.
When my water broke with ds I was three weeks early.It was a high tear,so it was trickling out a little at a time. I was only having irregular contractions like you are describing, but I knew if I went to the hospital and told them my membranes ruptured they would want to induce me.I had to get myself into active labor and fast.My Bradley teacher told me to take castor oil and Blue Cohosh
For the Castor oil:
I took two ounces in a root beer,shook it up (prayed) and drank it down all at once.
For the Blue Cohosh, I went to my local health food store and asked for the nonalcoholic tinture.
Blue Cohosh Tincture, 5 - 10 drops, in glass of water or tea, every half-hour for up to 4 hours, until contractions are regular. If no labor in 4 hours, take 1 dropper full, under the tongue every hour for up to 4 more hours until labor is strong and consistent..
I did this at 10 am and was holding Freedom by 5 in the afternoon.
I did spend some time on the potty in the beginning but by the time I was at the hospital and pushing,I was all cleaned out so it wasn't messy at all,if you are concerned about that.
Please research the Blue Cohosh if you have any concerns. With the castor oil, if it doesn't work ,it will only act as a laxative,it shouldn't harm you.Good luck and keep posting.

I hear ya about inducing, not always fun, but soon sweetie your little girl will be here and all the hard part of pregnancy and labour will be a distant memory. Just wait until you hold that precious gift in your hands, so sweet and innocent. O.K. hormones! I'm tearing up.
Will this be your last pregnancy? I know you just want it to be over, but it is just such a miracle and very soon your life will be completely different. A whole brand new person around. Savor this time she will come when she is ready or the doctor steps in.

Good luck with going into labor on your own. 1cm is not much, but it is something. I can't wait to see pictures & hear how the two of you are doing.

Heaven, I thought of you when she said Monday. I remember in the poll post where you said the 23rd and you may be right after all..lol And, We are thinking we are finished after this one but not doing anything permanent just yet. because I am only 22 and DH is only 27 we just don't want to make any drastic changes in our bodies yet.
I will keep posting this weekend about any changes. I am going to go over this accupressure pamphlet I have and try out some stuff and who knows it might work, if I am ready. In 3 days I went from "thick cervix" to "dilated to 1 cm". So maybe it will keep up the pace. I have still been having crampy contractions today but not at all regular. Think of me.

Candis, are you going to change your "handle" once the baby arrives? My2cuties won't apply anymore! Do you have any ideas? Maybe we should have a contest for your new name - just kidding.
I can't remember from past posts but do you have a baby name selected? Are you telling?
Yes her name will be Lauren (it's in my profile), and seeing Crystals' post reminded me I am going to have to do that as soon as the baby arrives. Maybe I will try my3cuties, that will be less confusing for everyone to remember who I am.
Just to let you know...I was supposed to be induced on my birthday, but he decided to come a day earlier on his own!!! (I still had to have a C section, but it was neat to feel those contractions at home, not in the hospital.)
I bet she'll start coming tomorrow!!!

Are you going to have help at home with the new little one?
DH took this past week off and stayed close to home helping his dad fix a truck trailer, because he thought I would have the baby. So he has to hit the road this next week so we can stay ahead on our bills. I do have friends and family that can help out and my neighbor is a sahm and she is there for me, but he will only be gone for a few days at a time. He will probably leave on Wednesday and be back on Friday or early Saturday morning. So that's not too bad. He is hoping I will have her today so he can stay around longer and help us get settled in. But I don't think that will happen because I feel really good today and not one sign of labor.
You can have Lauren on Sunday so she can share a birthday with Kaitlyn. Good Luck! Come on out, Lauren!
