How Do You Clean Skinny Tile Grout?
By Kate on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 01:45 pm: | Is there a product specifically for this? Does that Clorox bleach pen work on grout? I don't know how to clean it...the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser WILL clean it, but I can't force it into the skinny grout lines, and when I do it just rips the sponge to shreds. Help!
By Rayanne on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 01:59 pm: | I've used the Clorox Bleach Pen on my kitchen table for this. It works pretty well. I just let it sit for about 5 minutes and then scrubbed it with an old tooth brush. Good luck
By Sunny on Saturday, May 14, 2005 - 02:33 pm: | I use an old toothbrush and a bleach solution.

By Eve on Sunday, May 15, 2005 - 07:41 am: | Yes, they do sell grout pens and they work very well and are very easy to use. Check at Home Depot or your local hardware store.

Just want to mention to any of you with breathing issues/asthma, or kids with the same, be VERY CAREFUL when using bleach or bleach pens or Tilex. You should only use it in well ventilated areas, and even then, sometimes the fumes can be overwhelming. Granted, bleach seems to be the only thing that works on mildew, etc., but just be careful.

By Yjja123 on Sunday, May 15, 2005 - 06:29 pm: | I use soft scrub. I leave it for about an hour then clean it off. It whitens my grout and is easy to do. The soft scrub is thick so it doesn't run all over the place like bleach does.
I heard that amonia and baking soda together work well, haven't tried it. We don't keep harsh chemicals in the house, very bad for your lungs even when the bottles are closed and sitting in your cupboard, the vapors leach out into your air environment. BTW, I'm sure most of you know this but never mix amonia and bleach together, it's a deadly combination.
