if you don't have a set up in the laundry room?
I fold mine down cellar as I take them out of the dryer, my whites {all the socks} I usually fold and separate on the couch. Cause they take forever to do! So no your not the only one who uses your couch while doing laundry.
They go from the dryer to the couch to the closet or drawer, Immediately! LOL, I can't stand for my livingroom to have stuff in it so I get it done faster that way. So count me for the couch too!
I fold my laundry on the couch after the kids are in bed. My dh hates it too but I've told him more than welcome to fold it anywhere he wants when he takes it over. Since it is my least favorite chore, I want to make it as easy and entertaining as possible.
You guys fold yours!!! HA HA HA
I fold mine either on the couch or the floor.
Amen Tonya lol i hate to fold laundry and put it away = ) ...
I won't but when I do I make DS and DH help so it gets done quickly.
i fold mine in the living room on the couch too
I fold mine on my bed. Much more flat room than a couch.
Either at the dryer or on the couch.
Most of it gets folded right out of the dryer and placed in each persons pile, with the exception of socks and towels, which get folded on the couch.
My tiny laundry room is on the second floor near the bedrooms. I sit in the hallway on the floor to fold clothes and pile them outside each person's bedroom to be put away. Not the ideal set up but it beats lugging laundry baskets downstairs to fold clothes on the couch and then lugging them back upstairs again.
I fold mine in the laundry room. I like to hang certain things up right away because I don't iron(I hate it). Everyone has their own basket and they take it upstairs and put it away. I help my 4 yr. old, but he is getting pretty good at doing it on his own.
I fold mine on the dining room table, so before dinner at the 15 minute quick tidy time, they all put there's away! Well that's the intention anyway, my boys are good it's my oldest dd age 11 who is the problem, I usually find folded clean clothes in the bottom of her hamper,,,,,,,ARG
I'm surprised I'm the only one so far who uses the bed! After all, 95% of the laundry needs to be put away upstairs in the bedroom area anyway! And if company drops by I'm safe.
I fold mine on the couch most of the time. Kate, sometimes i fold it on the bed too. it just depends on what i feel like doing at the time i guess. And usually i do get it put away pretty quickly.
Usually I fold it on the floor in the den while watching TV. Sometimes I will bring it upstairs and fold it on the bed, if I need to be upstairs (like during the day while kids are here). Our laundry room is downstairs (basement) right off the den. My mom always sat on the couch and folded laundry. My dh doesn't mind me doing it on the floor in the den, he just hates when the folded clothes sit there more than a day!
Couch and my dh hates it too. I don't mind doing the laundry and folding it but I hate to put it away. So it all stays on the couch until all of the laundry is done. Dh makes remarks when he comes in and it's lying there.
I fold laundry on my bed, since we have a tv in our bedroom.
I'm like you Dana, it gets folded in the living room or on the bed. Never thought twice about it. LOL
I fold it on the couch too. Oh and Tonya, we have a sock basket too. I HATE folding socks!
Folding is highly overrated.... I try to fold as little as possible.
After my dryer is finished, I immediately hang what needs to be hung, and fold whatever needs to be folded. It's so much easier to deal with that way.
Oh, yeah - my washer/dryer is in our den, which the previous owner converted from a large garage.
I usually fold/hang straight out of the dryer. Socks, pj's, towels, things that can get wrinkled get put into a basket and I sort it (on my bed) when it gets full or when we start digging for socks. That drives me bananas.
My kids fold their own, I fold mine. It normally all ends up in the living room, sorted into seperate baskets and they take theirs to their room and I fold mine on my bed normally. It depends how much there is. Sometimes if it's a little then I'll fold it in the living room. I hate folding laundry too so it doesn't always get done so it's all over the washer and dryer and in my bathroom laundry sink thing, then it gets taken to the bedrooms and folded.
No Dana, you are not the only one. I sit on the couch and make piles on the coffee table 90% of the time. Then it waits for each child to come home or wake up and put it away. The other 10% I do it on my bed. The LR is the center of activity. I can see out the front and back door and work on other things also.
I have about 9 piles on the couch - one for each person, one for bathroom towels, and one for kitchen towels and cloths. I expect those who can to put their own stuff away. I do the rest.
I am the only one that folds in the KITCHEN!
I dump it out on my bed and fold it there most days. Then, my DD brings the clothes to what room it belongs in. I do put my DD's clothes away, but she helps. I don't touch my DH's clothes. He is a clothes horse and it would take me all day! LOL
