My Grandma went to the hospital last night due to stomach pains. Her BP was really high too. She has had stomach problems in the past, but nothing like this. Every time she went for her stomach, her BP was fine. Now they think that she may have had a stroke. She is very diorianted(sp?), and doesn't seem to know who anyone is, and is having a hard time getting things out that she wants to say. My Mom doesn't think that she looks good, so I am gong to see her tomorrow.

So so so sorry to hear, Rayanne. My mother has had 5 strokes. She was very disoriented and her speech was definitely hard to understand. If this is the case, just make sure she gets physical therapy and the appropriate medication. That helped my mom tremendously, especially right after they happened. We waited too long after one of her strokes to get her therapy and I think it was very detrimental. (She was also stubborn and wouldn't take physical therapy.)

I just talked to my Mom and she said that my Grandma is doing a little better. She said that she doesn't think that it was a stoke, thank goodness. I am still going to go and see her later this afternoon. They are still running tests, but so far, she is doing better. Thank you all for your prayers.

I just got back from seeing her. She was sleeping the whole time I was there, poor baby. She is so weak. Her test results are not back yet, so as soon as I know something, I will let you all know. Thanks again for all of your support.
