Looking for a manual grinder....
Does anyone know where to get a manual grinder for baby food? I want to start introducing meats to my DD. DD hates the jarred stuff! I tried the the food processor, but it didnt get the food fine enough for me. Any ideas? thanks
I would think that Target, or a similar store would have one. This one looks just like the one I used many years ago for my ds. I used it all the time! Manual Food Mill
Angela, when my dad had to have his food pureed because of Parkinson's Disease, we used the Oskar mini-food processor (I think it is now sold by Black & Decker and was formerly Westinghouse). I had to replace mine, after 20+ years, about 2 years ago, and wound up having to do it on-line because none of the local stores carried it. But it is wonderful for getting food chopped up really, really, really fine, and you don't have to add liquid as you do with a blender. I would, of course, add a little bit of liquid when making baby food. If you have any friends with mini food processors (there are several brands and models), try it before buying. They run between $20 and $40 at Target and other stores. I am not familiar with the other brands, but I do love my Oskar.
I have the Black and Decker mini chopper which I used to make baby food and still use it very often today. (I use it more than my larger processer actually).
