UGH! Ds #2 has been fighting this. He has it all over his face. It started as excema and has become imetigo. We started about 10 days ago with Bactriban- it didn't work. THen on Mon he went on oral antibiotics (augmentin). It's a little better, but new red spots are forming. I started putting Bactriban on too a few days ago. I called the ped this am and he told me to touch base mid week. Anyone have any experience with "run away impetigo?!"

Oh Laura, I haven't had experience with it. But, a little boy in ds class had it. He seemed to have it on and off for several weeks. His mom was so frustrated. When it clears up, just make sure to keep an eye out for it. She said that it often reoccurs, but if you catch it right away, it will go away fast. I thought ds had it when it was going around his class. I did a lot of research online and it is pretty nasty stuff. I hope your ds is feeling better soon.
