I don't know if you all recall my post about me doing a whole house clean sweep or not, but today was my reward!!! I cleaned out the basement and every room of my house. We had a rec room made in our basement and we did the new Owens Corning basement system put in and they finished it today and we had a garage sale today. We made about $950.00 at our garage sale!! I knew we had allot of stuff, and I priced it to go because we knew that what we didn't sell was going to the Goodwill anyway. But I was shocked at our total. We got rid of everything except a few things that dh took to the Goodwill tonight. I didn't stress at all about the sale and dh took yesterday and today off work to help me do everything. We only spent about 5 hours yesterday setting up and pricing and cleaning everything and opened the sale at about 8:15 this morning. We ended up closing it about 3 this afternoon. I am so glad that job is done. I love my new rec room and the carpet is coming Wednesday. Anyway, just wanted to post the results of my whole house clean sweep!!

Wow! We've only had 2 yard sales in my entire life. The most we've ever made is $400. That was just a couple of years ago. I thought that was good, until now! Great job!

So far I love it Debbie. They started Monday and finished yesterday about noon. No mess and it is so quiet down there!! It feels so warm too! We get the carpet installed Wednesday, so I am sure I will love it even more once that is in and we can start loading the room and using it . But so far, it is worth every penny!! I am glad to hear that you love yours too. It is pretty new in our area and I don't know anyone that has it yet. So it is great to hear from someone who has had it for a bit!!

Kate, as far as cost, it would be hard to give you an estimate. But, we got several bids to have it finished and this was only slightly higher then having a regular dry wall basement done.
