I fell this morning
I was walking out to the van leaving my MIL house and I tripped and fell. I am okay except I have one scratched up leg. I kept thinking should I call my doctor. I have never fallen before, I am really starting to lose my balance. Thank heavens it's only 3 more weeks, I think I may need to put up all my shoes except for flip flops until the baby gets here. What a scare, my belly hurt for a while afterwards (I did not land on it though) just jolted. what do you think, should I call or am I just being paranoid? TIA
WoW! I am glad you are okay. I have never fallen when pregnant. But I don' think it would hurt to call and just ask to speak to a nurse. They will let you know if you need to come in. Better to be safe then sorry.
I also fell over a curb when I was pregnant, I did call the doctor just to be safe but all was ok. He said there is alot of padding around that baby
I fell on ice when I was about 7 months pregnant and had some belly pain from strained muscles. My OB had me come in and do a stress test just as a precaution to make sure everything was okay. It definitely gave me peace of mind knowing the baby was fine. I would call and see what they say.
I feel like 3 different times when I was pregnant with my first baby. Nothing serious but, it does scare you and make you worry.
I fell while 8mo pregnant with Randy. Robin was headed toward the street and I was chasing him. I caught my toe on a landscape timber, tripped, and landed on my side on my neighbor's driveway. I ended up in the ER with a broken toe! I did call my OB, but they said as long as I wasn't bleeding or having contractions everything should be fine--to call them again if I did start either of those things. You can always call, just to be on the safe side. It wouldn't hurt anything. {{{{{Hugs}}}}}
I fell right on my belly at 6 months. It hurt really bad, and I was soooo scared. I called my doctor and they told me come in in the afternoon. They also told me to time the amount of the times I felt her move in an hour until my appointment. Everything was fine. They listened to heartbeat and it all was good. If you are concerened then I would call, but you are probably fine
The baby is active and I am not bleeding or hurting (anything other than normal) So I guess everything is okay, I go to the doctor Monday anyway. Balance is a terrible thing to lose. I guess every pregnant mother has an episode once, even if they don't actually fall.
When I was 8 months pregnant(1st time) I was coming down some stairs and missed one and landed on the one below it, I continued on my way to Saturday Mass and I could feel something leaking (ever so slowly)but was afraid to look or leave Church. When I got home and saw it was clear, I called the doctor and evidently by water had sprung a leak and my little bundle of joy came 4 weeks early. So you may end up having your baby a little early. Are you ready?? I wasn't since I still had 4 weeks to go, and the doctor actually beat me to the hospital even calling me to see where I was. That was 14 years ago!!! My how time flys.
I'm glad that you are ok!
I am READY! The sooner the better Katelyn(my oldest) has really started bugging me about it, she will tell me "mom, go to the hospital and get Lauren out of there, I need to hold her". I just crack up laughing at her.
I'm glad you are ok! My friend fell on a cement sidewalk when she was 7 or 8 months pregnant. She landed ON her stomach. She called the doctor in a panic. He had her come in just to help calm her. He explained that the baby is SOOOO surrounded by fluid and "padding" that it would take something drastic and harsh to hurt it. He did the test where they hook up the monitors and "shock" the baby with sound and everything was fine. I love the name Lauren!
I fell down our stairs when I was 9 months pregnant. I did'nt fall on my belly, I fell on my knees and hands, but I fell hard. I went into labor 4 hours later! The baby was fine. I still think that the fall is why I had her that day.
I have also fallen while pregnant. When I was 8 months pregnant, we had been out it was night and it was snowing and icy. I was trying to get into the house and hit a patch of ice. Next thing I knew I was on the ground. I was hurting pretty bad but no harm done. I also triped and fell up stairs and bruised one knee and elbow and hit my stomach on a step during another pregnancy. No harm done there either.
