Need suggestions- laundry issue
I need some suggestions on how to get stubborn arm pit sweat stains out. I have tried stain stick, vinegar, and spray and wash. Anyone have any other suggestions?
I use dish soap to pre treat all of my stains, don't think I've tried pit stains but It's worth a shot!
Removing Stains Dish soap is great for removing ketchup or other greasy tomato stains from clothes, too!
Have you used Oxy Clean - mixed with water and let it soak for a while before regular washing? Also, you might try Toddler Spray. It's wonderful on everything, although I haven't tried it on pit stains. I use oxy clean with every load now and it helps with whites quite a bit, just for general pit maintenance!!
DH had awful yellow stains under his arms. I tried everything and broke down and purchased oxy-clean. It was incredible. No stains at all were left. I did not soak or treat. I just washed. Now I always have oxy-clean and I use it in all my loads, even color.
Dishwashing detergent for the dishwasher and bleach. Soak... Good for whites only. Good for all stains.
I noticed a product in Wal-Mart in the sewing section, of all places, which is supposed to be specifically for this purpose. Sorry, not sure what the name was, but I could check for you if you wanted.
Thanks Dawn for the web site. I tried the dish soap yesterday and it didn't help. My DSIL suggested the liquid oxy and also the baking soda mixture. Annie2 I will check this out this weekend at walmart when I go. Thanks!
