Please send some vibes to keep the germs away!
My husband came home sick from work on Friday and now my son got the same thing- nasty fever of 104! Please send some good germ fighting thoughts our way so Helen and I don't come down with this. You all know mommies don't get sick days ... Ame
If you can find some Airborne, start drinking it!!! I swear by the stuff, but during cold/flu season, it really is hard to find. That sounds like what Jen and DH had a couple weeks ago - high fever, bad headache, Jen had the tummy stuff, both had congestion.... the fever and headache part lasted for several days.
I do hope you and Helen stay healthy! We've been passing around a bug all winter, it seems when one of us gets sick it starts the chain over again! ***Stay well vibes*** for the girls of the house, and ***get well vibes*** for the boys!!
Hope you DH and DS are feeling better really soon! And to you and Helen.
Lots of healthy vibes are being sent your way! I second Karen's suggestion of Airborne. We also are huge fans. It's the only way I manage to miss everything the kids bring home from school!
Karen, I almost bought some last weekend, but decided it was one of those "silly" remedies... you swear by it, though? Based on that, LOL, I think I'll go back and get some! The cold remedy I swear by is "Cold-Eze," which are AWFUL tasting zinc lozenges...but they really do keep my colds less severe, if you get them at the very first sign of sore throat or sniffles. My girls won't touch them, though!
Thanks Ladies! What's Airborne? Ame
Airborne is what you take to prevent getting sick, or when you first feel a cold coming on. I call it *orange alka seltzer*. LOL It's a dietary supplement with *17 herbs and nutrients*. Basically it boosts your immune system. You dissolve it in water and drink it, it comes in 2 flavors, DH hates it and mixes it with Sprite. You can drink it every 3 hours if you feel sickness coming on. I take it every day when we travel, or visit DH's parents, or go into hospitals, etc. You find it in the section of the pharmacy, etc. where the cold meds are.
You can also get something called Emergen"c". I buy it at Walmart ( around $8 for 36 packets) but you can get it at GNC (about $12 for 36 packets) also. It is similar to Airborne, it just pumps you full of Vit. C and some other vitamins. I haven't been sick yet this year. (KNOCK ON WOOD) I take it every single morning and when I feel like I might be getting sick I take another later in the day. It is a fizzy powder like alka seltzer. They have a few different flavors, I personally like the Lemon Lime the best!!
Well thanks for your good thoughts and healthy vibes, but the bug that's going through our house is just too strong My throat feel like its swelling out of my neck, I have no energy, I'm dizzy ... Oh well ... Ame
I take the emergen "c" too. Ame - I hope you are feeling better soon.
