I've been posting a little more recently because I've taken off of work most of the week since my boys are on spring break and DH is on a mission trip. We had planned to go to the zoo today, but it was yukky and raining. I FINALLY got around to cleaning out the study which I have been dreading for months. I threw away one whole yard size trash bag of nothing but paper!! I'm still in the process of organizing and filing, which is kind of hard to do since we got rid of our file cabinet. We have a very crowded file box and are waiting on buying a more aesthetically pleasing filing system. So for now I guess I'll still have my "stacks" but they will be organized ones at least...and lot less of them.

Now I have to shampoo the carpets in the living area!

Ugh! I did that just a few weekends ago and, boy, was I glad to have it over with. The dreading was worse than the actual chore! I think I remember feeling that way as a kid too.

Carpets? Double ugh! That's a chore I know will be as bad as I expect.

PamT, if you have the desire for a really wonderful filing system (and want to spend some money on it) take a look at "The Paper Tiger" It gets rid of alphabetical files. With that you are never removing and renaming your files. You can do a search and find on all your things and pretty much find whatever you are looking for.

No matter how you look at it, filing is a rotten task, but at least w/ this system you feel you are getting a handle on things and the things you file are not going into one big black hole that you may never find that item again.

I NEED to do my files. I stopped last may after getting pregnant. It is my biggest chore/mess in my house (next to laundry!). I keep putting it off daily.
