Trapped in the boys' locker room!
We had tornadoes yesterday and I had just arrived at the high school with my fourt grade dd and another fourth grader for play practice, when the sirens blew. The school had herded all the hs kids into hallways and locker rooms, so the three of us joined the gang in the boys' locker room (I said, "OK, little kids here...let's behave...") Anyway, during the storm, some parents came to the school to get their kids, and at one point, a teacher in the locker room with us made this announcement: "Sally Jones, Brent Matthews, David Hurst...go to the office where your parents will pick you up. The rest of you...your parents don't care!" LOL It was really funny, if you knew this teacher, and provided just the comic relief we were all needing in a very stressful situation. Just wanted to share!
LOL!, that's pretty funny, I am sure it was a comic relief.
nevermind...
That is pretty funny!
Brandy, she was at a high school. I can see a high school teacher saying something like that! Does sound like a funny ice breaker! Also sounds like something that my high school would have said! LOL
I'm not sure I understand. If the storm was that bad to have you all hunkered down, was it safe for parents to be taking their kids out in it?
I'm not a school administrator...all I know is that some parents were coming to the school to get their kids, and they were allowed to. It wasn't as though a tornado were bearing down on us, but we were under a warning because one had been sighted in our county. We were there for over an hour, until the warning was lifted. I just thought it was funny is all.
ROFL I cracked up! I can definitely picture some teacher saying that to lighten the mood!
Being from a tornado prone state (Michigan) I can totally see the humor in that comment.
It was funny. I was just confused.
Janet, I think it was funny. And an hour, God bless you... LOL
That is funny! I bet everyone cracked up!
