Where are OUR business trips??? I love my DS like none other, but I was just thinking about this...
(sorry, it's a spill over vent from the "Men are so selfish" post.)
I also love my DH, but man...I'm having one of those days...

I think we should get a business trip to a weekend spa every six months. Even if it is only one night!! But you know, we would just sit there and talk about our kids and worry because dh's wouldn't be doing things right anyway. We would come home to a messy house and a child(ren) way off schedule and everything. LOL

Wonder if it would even be worth it??

Oh Heidi,

I'm so there right now. I don't know if its prego hormones or what, but man I'm going stir crazy at home. DH will be in California all next week - Whoopi! Where will I be, same place as always. I just thinking this morning, maybe I should go back to work - yeah right, who would hire a woman whose is 4 months pregnant.

I so dislike living in the burbs, there is nothing to do. Go for a walk everyone says - WHERE! Every street looks the same. I guess I could just head off to the mall and spend lots of money - NOT!

The moms/playgroups are ok, but I really need something a little more intellectually stimulating sometimes. Please no one suggest a hobby, I have a whole room just waiting for me to paint, scrapbook and do just about anything you can think of in.

Well gotta run - must go vaccum! Yahoo!

Well, this won't make it any better but many of the dads here in the law firm where I work campaign to go on trips, they *beg* to go on trips, they volunteer to go on trips so they can get a break from kids. One new dad really searched high and low for a trip one time so he could get some sleep overnight in the hotel. He was really hurting due to a newborn awake all night. But, don't worry, most of their SAHM wives take vacations alone every year so daddy is on duty 24/7 and they get their due.

I am leaving Saturday morning for my "Business Trip" to Vegas and coming home Monday!! I can totally relate to how you are feeling and this week seems to be going really slow.

Ladies, if you want a trip (and can afford even just a little one) than just do it!
My sister is a sahm also and we were talking on the phone (she lives 4 hours away) about how both our dhs just went on business trips and we decided we need a girls weekend getaway. So we started planning right then and there. We have both of us, our mom, 2 sisters in law and another sister and we have a trip planned for August. We are going within driving distance for all of us to a little island. We are staying at a bed and breakfast. There really is not much to do there, but who cares? We will just chill out and relax those 2 days. It's great that we have six of us going because that really brings the individual costs down.

I can't wait for that trip! It seems so far away!

I agree, Bellajoe!! I think we forget that it's OK for us to take time out for ourselves! If our dh's do it, why not us? The house really won't fall apart if we are gone.

Sigh... a trip would be so wonderful! I don't know what I would do with myself if I got "me" time. I'm excited when I get off work early and get to do whatever till I pick up Christopher. (like right now )

I don't need a vacation from the kids, I just need a vacation. My DH has been doing a lot of travelling this winter and we are all in need of some family time away from the housework and stuff. We have to wait until July for that though-it seems so far away.
