Can everyone say a little prayer please?
One of my DH's supervisors went home on Wednesday after work, to find her 12 year old DD dead on the kitchen floor. Way too young. She got a virus from animals at the fair. There is something going around in petting zoo's. She has been sick ever since she returned home that day. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.
How awful!
OMG - that's terrible.
Prayers. How Sad.
Yes, I will keep this family in my prayers. How terrible.
OMG-I just saw a news report about that yesterday. How horrible! They are in my prayers.
Oh, God... that's horrible!
OH God that is awful!
That's terrible! I'm so sorry. I'll keep them in my prayers.
This is horrible!! My heart goes out to this family.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,151494,00.html I just found this... What a horrible thing to happen.
How aweful. I couldn't imagine. It is very important to carry soapless handwash in your bag for reasons like this. I am so sorry, definately will be saying a prayer for them.
Oh my god! What a horrible thing! I will be praying.
Awww, I'm sorry.
I heard about this as well. Just so very sad.
Oh my Gosh, how aweful. They will be in my prayers.
That's horrible! I thought viruses couldn't travel from animal to human, except in rare cases like the avian and swine flu. Prayers to the family! Ame
OK, I just read the article. Bacteria is different from a virus. How terrible! Ame
Oh sorry. DH said virus, I guess he meant bacteria.
When something like that happens, it's really easy not to get the details . I just got real scared when I read it, thinking we were looking at another virus that had made the leap from animal to human. It's very rare, and I don't think it's happened here in the US yet, but I could be wrong. SARS began in birds ... Scary stuff. But, it's actually better that it is bacteriologocal. We can limit transmission and combat it with antibiotics. I'm sure none of this makes any difference to the familiy. I'm so sorry for their loss. Ame
I like the wash and dri packets from cvs... Terrible story....
That is terrible!!! Thoughts and Prayers to this family.
That is terrible, for sure.. But the thing is... You wash your childs hands but the sheep (just example) has rubbed against his/her pants, arms etc. He/she has walked through the "mess" so it is on his shoes. It isn't as simple as just washing his/her hands, sorry to say. Cross contamination's are possible.
I'm so sorry. I've been hearing about this on the news the past few days. I had no idea it was that bad though, the reports I've seen made it sounds like it was serious, but the kids would all recover. Many prayers for their family.
Oh my, Rayanne. I knew the reports (being we live so near each other), but I had no idea any of the kids died. We were at our church today w/ a small petting area (puppies, goat, bunnies, chicks and guinea pigs) You couldn't pick them up,nor could you go in the cage with them. Just lean over the little fence to pet. They had a table with about 12 hand sanitizer bottles on it for everyone. The scary part, DS (7wks now) was sleeping in the stroller. DD was washing her hands and I look and there is a little boy with filthy hands reaching into the stroller! I hollered "don't put your hands near the baby! He hasn't even had his first shots yet" Usually, I am much nicer when I see kids reaching, but not this time. The mom whom, I guess, didn't see the kid reaching pulled on his shoulder. I sure hope those dirty little hands never made it to the baby or onto the stroller fabric. DS was in the hospital for 6 days already due to E-coli (UTI only, so not ingested, thank goodness). Prayers for the families going thru this.
Awww...my heart just aches for them. Prayers are definitely being said!
