Easter Break. What you doing with the kids?
We are getting picture with easter bunny at the mall...
We are having a nice relaxing weekend. No special plans. This morning since it snowed and they cancelled school we got to sleep in and it was so nice. Tomorrow we will do some grocery shopping and tomorrow night we are going to color our eggs.
The only goal I have for Easter break is to refrain from killing them when I hear "I'm Booooorrrreeeeeddd!" for the 8,000th time! My kids are in year-round school so they are off from this Friday until May 2nd. Oh, the insanity! We will be taking a trip to the coast for two days. I don't know what other day trips we'll take.
My ds's are off tomorrow and all next week. We leave for Texas Sat. morning for the week. I am so excited. The weather is suppose to be sunny and mid 70's to low 80's. Sure beats the 30's and 40's that we are having! We are going to Sea World, a University of Texas baseball game and spending time with both our families. My brother suprised us last weekend and said he was coming down to for a few days too.
My kids have been off all week. Monday a friend and I took the girls shopping and out to lunch. Wed. we all went horseback riding then lunch and more shopping. My dd had two friends sleep over last night and today we took them all to the movies. Tomorrow we are staying home and coloring eggs. Sat is Easter egg hunt then Sunday we are having lunch at friend's. Whew! I'll need a vacation when their vacation is finished.
Hang out and wait for poop! LOL! (See my other post!) I crack myself up sometimes. I think you need to either laugh or cry!
My dd doesn't have any days off school. So, we aren't doing much. Nothing special planned. Easter baskets on Sunday, but that's about it.
I am taking the girls to an Easter Egg Hunt at our local library, which includes free lunch for everyone. On Saturday the girls and I are going to make an Easter Bunny Cake and dye Easter eggs. We are going to church on Sunday morning and then we are coming to my house for an Easter Lunch with my family. It is suppose to rain Saturday and Sunday.
:o( I don't get a break with my kids! I miss being a SAHM sometimes.....
We are only off today-Sunday. We have another break mid-April. We are coloring eggs today and then doing prep for Easter dinner.
My kids were off from last Friday and go back April 4th. I've had a light load of daycare kiddos this week including not having any of the under 2's so we've been able to do more elaborate crafts and some "older kids" games and such. We made paper mache' eggs yesterday and are going to fill them with candy and color them today. I ended up taking Randy to the doc yesterday for a sinus infection and I'm going to call at 7:30 this morning and try to get me an appointment for the same thing. It snowed last night and we got a few inches, and it's supposed to snow some more today and tomorrow. We may end up getting snowed in! It happened last year during spring break, too. We had a "blizzard" (according to all the weather people--it was only about 12 inches!!!) and they shut down the two major roads that connect our "town" to the city of Colorado Springs for three days!!! Good thing we had lots of food in the house. Even the Safeway a mile up the road was running out of things because their trucks couldn't get in! I thought it was pretty funny. Others panicked.
No time off for my DD-she is at school today. We have a break mid-April though.
My kids have today off but that's it. We have a vacation in April. B woke me up at 5:50 a.m. this morning. "Mom, WAKE UP! It's time to color eggs!" Argh! I'm sure the kids will be up before the crack of dawn on Easter morning. Ug.
Today was only their first day! We had fun sleeping late and just hanging out. Then took the oldest one shopping for a new white blouse for her Florida trip. The white shirt she was wearing for her band uniform was just too small. Then I dropped her off at the movie theater, where she and a couple of friends were going to see Ice Princess.
The same thing we always do...SCHOOL! LOL No really, we have a homeschool international day fair on Saturday the 2nd, so we're working on our Japan project. Today we painted (paper mache) Mt. Fuji! Even though we're not taking a real break, we are doing something different than the ordinary!
