Okay actually the ladies I am talking about are not stupid, just careless. First I am on the pta, not my thing, but thye needed help. Also I hate to write, so I rarely ever turn anything into the newsletter. Last year we had huge succes in the district science fair and it never made it into the newletter, so I decided I would take it upon myself to get it in. SO I copied the email that I got from the head teacher with the results. At the bottom of this I wrote a personal note explaining the results, for example someone got a silver and 2nd, these are two awards. My note said where you see that, he won silver int he overall of the both grades and 2nd in his grade. Well instead of proofing this and actually reading my note, they copied it. GEESH it was such bad grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc and they PUT my name on it. UGH! This just went out to 1000 people, if I had known they weren't going to just put the chart in then I wouldn't of typed a letter at all! Oh well, those who like me won't care that I wrote like an idiot!

Don't beat yourself up over his! They definitely were in the wrong by not making sure it was okay to you to put your comments in verbatim, but the positive part of this is that the kids received their deserved accolades - for THAT you need to pat yourself on the back!

Yikes...I would be mad too...apathy is something I can't stand at all! I hope they think it's the editor's issue, which I'm sure they will.
