Need Lunch and Dinner Suggestions For Toddler
Poor DS, I feel like I'm always feeding him the same old stuff. I usually grill some chicken breasts and freeze them. I buy cauliflower, broccoli and baby carrots, I steam them and freeze them in small one ounze portions so I always have something on hand for him. Sometimes I will give him some cooked ham, cheese and cucumber for a change and I always have some rice or whole grain ready for him. He loves spaghetti, but I really need some new ideas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Your son is only a little younger than my daughter I think and she eats everything we do almost. Last night we had chicken patties and peiroggies (sp?) for dinner she loved it. She eats mac-n-cheese. She eats allot of veggies out of the can green beans, peas and carrots, she loves cut up fruit. Like dannon single serving containers of mixed fruit or single fruit. I give her bananas and apples cut into pieces and gramb crackers or goldfish. She likes chicken noodle soup w/o the brouth (sp?). She has 6 teeth right now and she can eat it all.
My son loves turkey hot dogs, green beans, turkey meatloaf, grilled turkey, very thin sliced pork roast, hamburger, baked chicken, and of course the ubiquitous chicken nuggets and french fries. Ame

Both my kids were eating table food (whatever DH and I had for meals) by then. Of course we made their portions toddler friendly - ie: cut into small pieces, minus spicey sauce, etc.
We did the same thing as Trina. I think the only foods I did not give my girls when they were toddlers were pork chops and steak. My oldest DD loved pizza when she was a toddler. I would make at home (you can make your own crust or buy it at the grocery store) and top it with sauce, cheese and broccoli. She is 5 now and still asks for broccoli on her pizza.
we do alot of veggie burgers, fresh fruit at every meal, Spinach pizza pie- spin, ricotta, mozzarella, mushrooms(sauteed) Mixtogether and fill one of those refrigerated roll out pie crusts, Black bean and cheese wheat quesadillas- or add chix sometimes, Pasta with pesto, hummus and pita!
