Cuticles
What do you use on your cuticles? Mine are always sooo dry and I feel like I've tried everything...vaselin (which works briefly) and every lotion in the book. Any suggestions?
I'd like to know too. Mine are always dry as well.
Oil. I forget what kind but when I got my nails done they would put an oil on my cuticles and it worked great. You could probably go to a nail spa and they could tell you what to buy.
Burt's Bees carries a cuticle cream. Very cheap and it smells like lemon oil. My husband works with cardboard and paper frequently and they really do a number on his hands. He loves this!
Mineral oil - it's inexpensive you can get it at the pharmacy. Use it everyday.
I use Burt's Bees cuticle cream too. I also use their banana hand lotion. I love all their stuff!
I love Glysolid - it's a waxy cream that I put on my hands/cuticles before bedtime and my hands are so soft in the morning! It also helps to keep my skin from getting dry and cracking. If my hands are in really bad shape, I load a lot on and put cotton gloves on for awhile.
I know about Burt's Bees but have never used it. Kaye - do you buy Glysolid at a salon or just at the store? I'm going to try both of these things.
Saw this one late - A&D ointment - not cream - is the best I've used for dry skin, including cuticles. I discovered it accidently when I saw how much nicer my hands were when I started using it for my daughter. Ame
I ordered Glysolid through my salon - but you might check any beauty supply stores that you have in your area. Or, check online for it.
Cetaphil lotion is excellent for daytime use when you don't want to be so goopy. My hands improved DRAMATICALLY when I began using it. I wrote the company I was so happy with this product.
I found this on another post from Tracie, "Baby oil. Put a dime sized amount in the palm of your hand and rub it in to each of your nails for 1 minute per nail for each hand. Do it everyday and in 2 weeks you should see a difference in your nails. Nails and skin love oil and it keeps moisture in. It works!"
