Will anyone miss Dan Rather
I know he was a goof ball and all, but I remember Walter Cronkite and then Dan was the news for the last upteen gillion years. I think I will miss him.
I will miss him
I liked Dan Rather very much- I will miss him.
He isn't gone. He just quit, the CBS Evening News. In part, I believe, do to the whole Bush military records nonsense this past year. Anyway, he is becoming a full-time reporter for CBS' "60 Minutes" franchise.
by the way, Bob Schieffer is taking over the CBS Evening News. He is from the CBS news show, "Face The Nation".
I will not miss him.
I liked watching him when I did, I havnet' watched the CBS evening news since the Bush/Gore Campaign. I too believe that he left because of this whole Bush military records nonsense this past year. I did catch a Glimpse of his last show last night on the 11 o'clock news. And I liked the way he said goodbye.
I like him alot.Whenever anything news worthy happened, I go to CBS.I just trust his face.He is a good man ,and I will miss him.
Maybe that is it, Dan was always the guy who would show up at the news stories, he added a certain continuity to our lives. If something was happening, I would always tune to CBS.
No!
I will miss him. He's my favorite. Bobbie, he put in his "retirement" date of March long before the whole Bush thing happened.
Most people retire by his age...I'd be vacationing somewhere!!!
I never watched much of him but in college when I was majoring in broadcast journalism I did a report on him. He's a great guy... truly remarkable in my eyes. I could name quite a few journalists I hold high respect for and he is one of them.
No, I won't miss him, either.
Won't miss him here either. Rarely watch CBS.
Won't miss him at all. I know everybody has their biases, but he is way too biased to the left for me.
I will not miss him. I am an NBC person. I really miss Tom Brokaw. I feel that HE was very honest. I think that CBS is a very liberal network. In fact, the talk radio shows that I listen to (which are pretty conservative) jokingly call CBS the second "Al Quieda" network.
