How come men are so strange?
DH and I have been married almost 5 years and I just found out this morning that he's been putting used glasses back into the cabinet...eeeewww! He used a glass to drink water this morning and put it back. When I noticed it while I was unloading the dishwasher this morning, he said,"Well, I put it back in case I wanted to drink out of it again today." That's what counters are for, honey... Then, it got me thinking...how long has he been doing this? Have I been drinking out of his "water glasses"? Does your DH do things that are just weird or gross?
my husband will occasionally do the exact same thing. Only if he drinks water though. I don't mind a lot. I just choose my battles
He'll grab a glass from the dish rack, drink water, and put it back. As long as it's water I don't mind, we're sharing germs anyway I guess. We hand wash our glasses because my dishwasher stinks, so I'll often just wash out all glasses in reach.
I just laughed at my husband this morning...we both had a good chuckle. I saw a Dr. Phil show where this guy flicked boogers and occasionally they would land on his wife! Now, that's gross!
Booger flicking?! Ewww! When we were first married DH started the tradition of having a special glass always out on the counter just for that very purpose. We pop it in the dishwasher every night and set out a clean one.
My dh refuses to use a glass that some one may have had a drink out of, even me or the kids. His annoying (to me) habit? He'll put garbage in the sink. Nothing really gross, just the wrapper off a popsicle or the plastic wrap off of leftovers usually. It still bugs me!
When I first read the title of this thread, my first thought was *ALL men, by definition, are strange!* ROFL Sorry, could not resist! They ARE strange - my DH will gripe at the kids if they leave a dirty glass in the sink, but every day when he comes home from work he puts his dirty, half-full coffee mug on the counter NEXT to the sink and it is constantly getting knocked over. But in his mind, *that* is OK! He also fusses if the kids leave stuff on the dining room table, but it is perfectly OK for HIM to leave the newspaper spread out over the entire table. Don't get me started on their *strangeness* - it's causing battles in my house these days! LOL
LOL! Yeah, I don't understand why my DH needs a "list" of things to do around the house either. It's strange...you see the door knob loose, you fix it right? Nope, has to be on the "list". I shouldn't complain at all though...he just bought me flowers and champagne on the way home for no reason other than I had a rough day with Connor. He's strange, but sweet. I don't think I would have much humor without my boys!!!
ROFL! BOOGER FLICKING! And to boot he made it on DR.PHIL!! LOL oh dear! This will be weird to you all but dh and I always share a glass when its water, we rarily have separate. Not sure what started it - I think its from back and high school when things were oh so sweet, we would always just have on glass of water when we sat an watched a movie bcz his parents bought bottled and we usually didn't drink a full glass so we would share not to waste. Now its habit. wierd huh?
Heidi my dh has the "list" thing going too. If it's not on the list, he's not doing it. We usually have a Sunday to do list. Of course he adds "have sex" to the list LOL every time! I can't beleive the booger flicker made it on Dr. Phil. That's just nasty.
My first thought was the same as yours Karen, ROFLMAO!!! So, you girls all know my DH is in the Marines. Before we married, he lived in the barracks where the dirtiest of habits are picked up. So, it was to my surprise when we first married and moved in together to have us sitting on the couch watching tv and out of the blue he blew a bit snot rocket right across the room!!!!!! COMPLETELY NASTY!!!! Boy did he hear it from me! I was beyond repulsed by it and did even know what to say at first. But I guess since then the thing that annoys me most is his zit picking, nasty, nasty, nasty! But now, he will at least have the decency to not do it in front of me!
I actually caught my dh washing his hands, pulling a clean towel out of the linen closet, drying his hands, and then putting the towel back with the clean ones. What the??? Who does this???
Isn't that sort of a rhetorical question???
don't EVEN get me started!!!!!! lol
