Need a new matress
We need to buy a new mattress. Ours is 10 years old and was only a cheap one when we got it. There are so many different kinds out there I have no idea what to even look for. Any suggestions?
Well, If I had $2000. I would buy the new Tempur-pedic one. It is the one where one partner doesn't disturb the other one by moving around. You can also jump on the bed without spilling a glass of wine. It comforms to the body. I tried one out at the store about a month ago. Very comfortable. I know that is probably not too much help!
We got a level B Stearns and Foster in November and it is terrific, it is not the top of the line one, but a low end Stearns and Foster is like a high end of other brands. They sell these at Mattress Depot and JCPenny's and any bedding/mattress store.
I have a friend that owned a furniture store for years. When we went mattress shopping he recommended that we look at King Koil or European. We went with the European and are very happy.
When we replace ours, we are buying the Tempur-pedic. They are SOOOOOOOOO comfortable.
Stearns and Foster! LLLLLOOOOVVVEEE it. I personally didn't care too much for the Tempurpedic, because it was hard for me to move around and turn over. Goodluck.
I don't know about the mattresses, but I've had two different contour Tempur-Pedic pillows. Both lost their umph after a couple years. Food for thought. Hmmm, I don't remember what make our mattress is, but we got it at Better Bedding a few years ago and are happy with it.
Sleeping Beauty Crown Collection from Kingsdown Tudor Orthopedic with a pillow top. The best mattress I've ever slept on. I have one that I bought for myself when I bought my first real bed. When I got married, my husband and I bought one. They last and they are comfortable with great support. The one I bought for myself is now in our guest bedroom. Whenever someone stays over, invariably, our guset asks about the mattress because it was so comfortable. Sleepy's had great prices. Ame
I used to sell mattresses & Tempurpedic was one of the lines we carried & they made an incredible offer to the sales force to purchase one. So, we bought one. It was a last ditch effort to find something comfortable. My husband has had a hard time finding something comfortable to sleep on for years - only sleeping 1 to 3 hrs. every night. We've tried every type imagineable & finally decided on the Tempurpedic. He sleeps 8 hrs. a night now. Yeah!!! We've had it for a while now & it's great. I miss it when we travel - always anxious to crawl back into it. It was hard to get used to at first - turning over, etc. But, once I did - that's it. Good luck on your quest!
