Early out today
The first few flakes are falling and the kids are getting out at 12:30. Ryan was very happy when I told him that! I have a feeling that since we had a pretty mild winter so far that we are going to pay for it in March. Easter is early this year and I bet it wont be a warm one.
I was thinking our kids would be getting out to, but its not suppose to reach here till early afternoon so we will see. You down south in PA are suppose to get more then us. It seems up here we are having a few inches of snow every other day. And now they are calling for a storm Monday into Tuesday. DS Tom is coming home on Wednesday for spring break from college so I am hoping its all clear for his drive from Shippensburg.
We are on vacation this week and supposed to get 3-5 inches tonight. It's ocean effect though, so they NEVER get that right. Looks like we have a big storm coming next week too.
My kids are home this week on winter break. The forecast for our area is 4-6" tonight.
My DD is home on winter break, too. We will be getting this storm maybe late tonight. I know what you mean Colette about the ocean effect snow-I don't think they have been right once this winter in our area.
When we lived just outside of Philly the kids had winter break. They dont have it here. Kinda a bummer because we would go back home for a visit during that week. Home is a 5 hour drive and we are not able to go back for a visit now until July. Im glad I dont live right next to family but I do get to missing them. Wish I could spend more time with my mom.
Enough is enough!!!! The crying out loud!!! Another 4+ inches tonight!!!! Another, maybe, Nor' Easter next week!!!! I'm soooo over this whole snow thing!!!! Give me Spring!!!
Guess what spoke to soon. Early Dismissal here to 1:05. No snow yet but I guess it coming. Our kids don't get winter break.
It's coming Angela! At least we are not getting all of this in November. I am really, really hoping we don't get that storm next week. Dh will be out of town and that means I have to do the roof rake and shovel if we get nailed. My arms still hurt from shoveling the "3-6" that we got last weekend, (which was actually about 10 inches - I measured it).
I want spring, too! I hate roof raking and shoveling! My DH takes care of the driveway (unless he is away then we call the plow) but I get to do the rest of the shoveling and roof raking. I still haven't finished cleaning up from the storm on Monday.
Oh, am I ever ready for SPRING as well!! Roof raking... UG! I hurt myself last year doing that. We can't reach most of our roof (2 story house) but we do need to watch a section over the garage. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... I hate winter! I found a photo that nails my winter sentiments exactly. Not appropriate for the board, but e-mail me at siennatrina @ yahoo. com if you'd like to see it.
We are clear of snow with temps in the mid to upper 40's and only partly cloudy today and sunny tomorrow and highs in the upper forties that is by no means warm but it will do. Hope it gets warm for all of us soon.
Trina I emailed you from kathy @ echoes .net.
Here in South Jersey and it hasn't start yet...I kept Syd home from preschool because I was afraid that there would be inches on the ground by the time I had to pick her up at 1:00 and being a new driver I am so scared of the snow...and now Monday a Nor'Easter...poor kid is going to be missing lots of school...hurry up Spring!!!
Everyone is out of school here in South Central PA and Maryland. We have less than an inch and it is 10:51 a.m. It is really coming down fine and not much consistency. We'll see. Dh didn't have school either. I think they are worried for what is to come. Oh well, we haven't had much snow either this winter.
