OK ladies!!! Question and, thank God, it's not me!!!

I'm sitter here with a friend in work and she's 29 weeks along and is starting to complain about slight cramping. Like period cramps! I, personally, never really had cramping, but, thought I would see what you guys thought!

She is too early along to take any chances, if she is in preterm labor her baby will be way too little. Have her call her OB.

Could be Braxton Hicks, but "better safe than sorry" is what I always say. It certainly wouldn't hurt for her to call her OB/GYN.

I had cramps all throughout my pregnancy. They were way worse that any cramps I had felt before. Connor was a week overdue and healthy, but she should call her doctor just in case.

Call anytime you're unsure about something...even if you think it's nothing! I had major heartburn for 2 days 2 weeks before I was due. Just thought it was prego heartburn until my dh urged me to call the dr. Turns out I had HELLP Syndrome (liver problems caused by pregnancy) and had to be induced the next day! As a result we had to have a c-section, stayed in hospital for 6 days, majorly not planned the way we thought it would go! Always call your doc...you never know what something as silly as heartburn could really mean! Cramps are always worrisome anyway.

I was always told to call if I had more than 4 contractions in an hour. She needs to lay down on her side with her feet up & drink a lot of water. If the cramping continues I would call the doctor.
I had preterm labor with both my babies.

I had horrible cramps at 4 and 7 months. My dr. told me it was round ligament pain from all the stretching. Actually at 4 months it was so bad I went to the er because I passed out from the pain. Call the dr.

I am 28 weeks and I have period like cramps but not too often. My doctor said it was the round ligaments and the baby is just getting heavier. Depending on if she has had alot of problem she may need to be seen.
