Telemarketers, the best revenge
I went out to get some wood for the fire. When I got back in my 4 yo ds who is developmentally delayed and doesnt speak well at all told me "Amama, telephone" "Did you answer it" "Yea" "Who was it?" "It was the blill (Bill, his godfather)" "I dont think it was Bill honey, who was it?" "IT WAS THE BLILL" And he took off, checked the caller ID, it was a telemarketer So my 4 yo got to here about house sideing or something.
LOL ! That is funny .
Hmm...that's a great idea and I know my kids would love the chance to talk to anyone on the phone!
I heard some funny ones one time, too. Like saying, 'Just a minute and laying the phone down then don't go back for awhile.' Or saying that the police are at the door, gotta go.
Have you registered your number on the DO NOT CALL LIST??
DO NOT CALL REGISTRY
I always let my 3 year old ds answer calls that show as "unavailable". I figure if they are going to waste my time, then I'm going to waste theirs
I put our numbers on that list, and I still have people calling. They don't call my house that much anymore, but now some are calling my cell phone!!! That number is on that list too.
My husband has a ball now that we have caller ID! It gives him time to prepare! His favorites are refinancing calls! He listens to the WHOLE thing, gets very excited & then drops the bomb..."That's great! Now we can pay off all of our bills! We're in the process of filing bankruptcy! Oh, will that be a problem? I can give the the # of my Attorney." They usually apologize for bothering him and hang up about then! LOL My brother was classic when he was a teen. He would answer as if he was my dad (same first last name, but different middle) listen to the whole speal then say "Oh you want John E. Doe! I'm John A. Doe, his teenage son!"
Recently I heard my husband and Austin, my 4 1/2yo giggling after the phone had rang. When the telemarketer asked for the man of the house, he handed the phone to Austin, who proceeded to talk to them about what he was interested about, at that momment - I think something about his Matchbox cars. I agree with the above - if they are going to waste my time - I'll waste theirs!!
