Indiana Moms! French Lick Resort question
Our workplace is offering a spa resort trip to French Lick Resort, and we were all very excited until one of my co-workers found a website with mostly horrid reviews of the place! I'm wondering that, since it's an old place, maybe that's the main complaint. I don't mind old. I wonder if anyone lives nearby or has been there, and could give me an insider's view of it before we commit? TIA
I have never heard of it...but just wanted to say that it is a very interesting name!! LOL
My husband and I went there for a Valentines Day Weekend about 6 years ago. We didnt enjoy our visit. It didnt seem to hold up to the price of the trip. We didnt enjoy the smell-it is supposed to be some special spa or something but to us was stinky and the place seemed in desperate need of remodeling. It was something that looked like it might have been popular 25 years ago, but in need of updating.
Wow, your right. I just looked at a few sites online and the reviews are horrid of this place. I think I would save my money and pass on this one.
Vicki, I laughed myself silly when they told me! I'd never heard of it. Well, we are leaning toward not going, but I am so disappointed!
My grandma lived in French Lick all my life until she passed away several years ago. I remember as a child the big highlight of our trip was to go to the dime store LOL! It is a very very small town. No walmart no nothing. I had a friend in high school who went there on vacation with her family I thought that was so funny. Vacation in French Lick??? I have been to that hotel many times to. It is old and somewhat smelly. It is beautiful though. Just old and smelly. I have never used any of the spa services just looked around. It is a big golfing resort I can't imagine it could bet that bad. This really brings back memories.
