What gadget can't you live without?
I started replacing some of my kitchen appliances and adding to my collection. John bought me the kitchenaid mixer and I cannot believe I ever lived without one. LOL. I am finding things to use it for. So my question is...what kitchen gadget can't you live without? Why?
My microwave! I use it repeatedly on a daily basis. Reheating, defrosting, cooking meals,...
Coffee Maker or my toaster. I use them all the time!
Coffee pot and coffee bean grinder!!! I'm addicted. LOL The other would be my dishwasher.
My small food processor. I use it all the time to dice many of my veggies, esp onions. I also use it to make bread crumbs all the time. I have a large processor, but only use that once in a blue moon.
Ditt Dana, love my mini-prep... but I have to say microwave is the one gadget I can't get by without - especially with a baby! Ame
Up until this past November it was my breadmachine, but my DH bought me a new KitchenAid Mixer for my B-day and it is now my favorite.
Coffee, coffee and more coffee! Must have my coffee maker with auto timer. I set it at night and it's ready and waiting in the morning.
My brother bought my an electric egg beater and I love it! It's something I would never buy for myself.
TOASTER OVEN!!!! Having two picky eaters, the toaster oven pretty much cooks everything they eat! Pizza, chicken bites, waffles. And I dont have to heat up the oven everytime they want to eat!
Definitely my KitchenAid mixer.
Mini-Frother for those heavenly Chai Lattes! (Decaf of course)
I will have to say microwave. I don't use it as often as I used to, but it's still pretty important!
My dh!! lol, oh oh you mean an appliance lol, well in that case I would say mmmmmmmm microwave, not really that great with taking thing out of the freezer for supper , in the morning, so it has been has been the one gadget I would say I need the most.
I would have to say little griddle for the top of the stove. I have been using it so much for french toast and scrambled eggs. Dad bought it for me for Christmas and I wish I had one sooner. Second would have to be my microwave. I use that alot!
My microwave. I use it everyday.
My favorite little gadget is my Pampered Chef garlic press. I use lots of fresh garlic, and it is such a time saver! I hate peeling and chopping garlic. (No, I don't sell Pampered Chef, LOL!)
Microwave and my tupperware peeler. Can't live without either of those
My microwave, because I never remember to defrost ahead of time! I'm pretty fond of my food processor (thanks Amy!) too, I made all the kids baby food when they were infants, and now I use it fairly regularly, especially for bread crumbs.
my dishwasher, and good knives.
My dishwasher is the main kitchen appliance I can't live without but I also love the microwave since I never defrost ahead of time.
My stand up deep freezer. It saves us so much money buying in bulk and we have so much room!
Heaventree, I want a "frother!" I love going to a local coffeeshop for chai lattes and drinking the foamy milk. Yum! For things that I already have, it would probably by my microwave and my Kitchenaid mixer.
My dishwasher!! Mine is a portable one,and I have to put it beside my fridge, which is completely away from the sink. Then I have to draaaaagggg it to the sink, hook it up to the faucet, plug it in....and I forgot to mention, move my kitchen table out of the way...but I LOOOOVVVVEEEE it !!!(I think this is what you might call...a little bit on the crazy side !!)But I have always hated to stand and wash dishes,so there you go.
My oven I am always baking something. My dad laughed at me because I make ramen noodles on the stovetop instead of in the microwave. I also couldn't live without my coffee maker..so I can make hot water for hot chocolate...which by the way I am addicted to, I have to get my "fix" for the day and I am fine.
Oh yeah, the dishwasher, too! We had a portable one the first three years that we lived in Sheboygan, while we rented. I couldn't have washed dishes by hand for 3 years! Ugh! Then when we bought a house, it already had a built-in dishwasher, so we sold the portable one to my neighbor, who had a houseful of kids and a dead dishwasher. She used it as a portable for a few years and then it finally got built-in. She still uses it today.
Happynerdmom- I love my pampered chef garlic press too!! i use it daily! no more smelly hands! I also love my stove/oven. i love to cook! (i guess that is why i haven't lost my baby weight! LOL )
The coffee maker would have to be the 1st. and then the microwave, because it seems to be the only way my daughter can cook anything!!! LOL
