Quiche
Do you like it? What are your favorite add ins? I've been making them lately and they seem to be so foolproof that its a great recipe for beginners. I've been adding mushrooms and Velveeta cheese since thats all I have to add in until we go shopping. They are delicious and last for 2 breakfast mornings so I love em now. What do you like to add in? I'm trying to get good ideas for when I go shopping.
This is a recipe I started making mine with. You could really add anything you like. 4 eggs 2 cups milk 1 cup Bisquick baking mix 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 1 small onion, chopped 1/2 to 3/4 cup favorite meat (dried beef, hamburger, ham, sausage, pork roll Brown meat and onion (until clear). Blend other ingredients in mixing bowl. Stir in meat and onion. Place into a 9-inch deep-dish, sprayed or buttered pie pan (glass pan is best). Let stand 10 minutes and place into half of preheated oven; bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until center sets. Let stand for at least 5 minutes. Then serve!
Try Asparagus, Potabello Mushrooms, and Sundried Tomatoes. I use a Havarti or munster cheese in this one.
I've never made a quiche, but it does look easy. I will have to jot down the recipe and give it a try.
I like roasted green chilies and monterey jack cheese or finely chopped broccoli and cheddar cheese. I used to make these fairly often, now it sounds good again.
I love quiche and I love making it all different ways. Sometimes I just make a "pan quiche" where I take eggs, milk, seasonings, cheese and whatever veggies (always spinach) spray a nonstick skillet pour in the mixture and cover. I cook it over a low heat and the cover cooks the top its usually thin so it doesnt' take to long. Slides right out of the pan. Great with toast for breakfast. My DD's have deamed it Egg Pizza.
