Need Party Theme Ideas Please
My ds goes to a very small school with about 20 teachers and administrators combined. The room parents get together every spring and head up the teachers and administration appreciation luncheon. We aren't having much luck coming up with a theme this year and you are all so creative I was hoping to get a little help. Last year the theme was Garden Tea Party. Our budget is $5 per person. We are not allowed to ask the parents for monetary donations, but we may ask for donations of items as long as it comes out to only $2-$3 per family. Any ideas out there?
The pto puts one on at our school called "teachers are souper" and they have tons of soups, stews, chilis and chowders, along with various breads, salads and desserts. They also have cards printed w/the recipes for the soups.
A Hawaiian or beach theme would be fun. Have all the decor be ice bright colors. Give everyon a lei to wear, they are very inexpensive. I am drawing a blank on what kind of food to serve. The only thing i can think of is fruits and fruit salads and fruit kabobs.
*that is supposed to be "nice bright colors"
Thanks ladies! I'm writing the ideas down for the next meeting. Please keep them coming.
I really need some help with this so I'm Bumping it up.
YOu could do a rodeo theme, serve bbq, beans and potato salad. decorate with cactus, bandanas, hats, etc. Give a sherrifs badge to the superintendent. you can get stuff like that cheap at party city. Or you could do mexican fiesta, taco bar, flour tortillas, taco shells, hamburger meat, and then toppings. Decorate with red, green and white, use lots of those tissue paper flowers, put chips and salsa on the tables. Lots of color.
Thanks so much for the ideas! I'm jotting them down. If anyone has any more I'd like to hear them too. The meeting is a week from today. TIA
