For the second time in the 15 years we've lived here, a Newport News Police car has mowed down our neighborhood sign in our park. It happened this morning. It's been knocked down twice before. The police speed down our street heading back to the precinct for the end of shift on a daily basis. It really frosts me about their speeding. Then the city takes it's own sweet time rebuilding our sign. The last time it was down for almost a year.

I would put a complaint in anyway. Thier is always someone higher in rank, to talk too. Looks like they have run right off the road to hit that sign, good thing their was no children playing on the grass their.

What in the world???? A POLICE car?? That is insane.
I would file a complaint with the police department. If it were any average citizen they'd be in big trouble for destryoing public property.

How in the world did the police car come in contact with the sign anyway? How far off the road is it?

Oh we complain, but nothing changes. The police car came straight from the street into the sign.... about 100 feet. There are park benches that were taken out too. Anyone could have been sitting there.
