52 oz ...
You're doing great, Brandy!!!!! I've been slacking lately and am only at about 40 for today so far. Gotta get it down!
63 ozs go cat go lol
WTG guys!! Brandy, why so high? It's great to drink water, but aren't you worried about too much? Be careful!!
i've heard to lose weight you are supposed to drink half your body weight in ounces so that's what i'm doing = ) yay me i've drank 107 ozs today and all by 11pm yippee...i will be careful though i actually asked a personal trainer about this years ago about water poisoning and he said unless i drink 2 gallons(i'm pretty sure this is what he said) that it would be fine = ) i might call tomorrow and ask at the local gym just for reassurance = ) have a great night everyone...
Be careful, because that's almost 2 gallons!! I would call the nurse line of your health insurance, if you have one, or ask a doctor, we want you to lose weight, but not dangerously!!
I checked Wikipedia, and it says you can only get water intoxication by drinking that much in a short period of time, or exercising intensively and drinking a lot of fluids that don't replace electrolytes. So you should be ok, but I'd still ask a doctor, and drink gatorade when exercising. On an interesting side note, water intoxication killed Andy Warhol.
http://nutrition.about.com/library/blwatercalculator.htm wow i didn't realize that geesh i'm drinking alot lol = ) but i'm sure i'm still okay = ) check that link out it's pretty neat...thanks for worrying about me ... = )
My Weight Watchers book says to drink 6 glasses of water every day, but it don't say how many ounces per glass...BUT on Oprah the other day she says a glass is 8 oz. She was on there with Dr. Oz (don't you just love him??)I am not sure who is right but that would make it 48oz a day if this were true.
Keep in mind: What you eat also provides a significant portion of your fluid needs. On average, food provides about 20 percent of total water intake, while the remaining 80 percent comes from water and beverages of all kinds.
