Slimfast anyone?
Moms View Message Board: Let's Get Fit! (Weight Loss Support Group): Slimfast anyone?
I've got about 15 pounds I'd like to loose, I'd LOVE to loose at least 10 of them in a little over a month. I've been researching different types of diet/exercise programs and think I'm going to start on Slimfast on Monday. They've really changed alot since my mom was doing it years back, they have actual dinners, snacks, etc and it's just not all liquid. Has anyone done the slimfast route recently or is anyone interested in starting with me on Monday? Christy
I'm doing the Slim fast diet. I've been doing it for almost 4 weeks and I've lost 7 pounds. The drinks actually fill me up and the meal bars are very tasty. I've not tried the actual Slim fast food though. I usually eat what everyone else eats for dinner, I just eat smaller portions and no seconds! Exercise is the key though. I exercise everyday. I think that is the big reason I've lost weight. Before this I was a total couch potato! Good luck!
What do you do for exercise Mara? Do you drink the slim fast for breakfast and lunch and have a slim fast bar in between?
I did the Slim Fast diet in high school. I didn't do the meals, just the shakes. It worked out well for me. I lost 12 lbs in two weeks. I was exercising a lot, probably 4 hrs a day(dance and cheerleading). So, maybe that's why. Plus, I cut out all carbonated beverages. Hope it works well for you!
I usually exercise only about 20 min. per day. I briskly walk for about 15 min. then I do sit-ups and push-ups for the next 10 min. I usually do this about 4-5 days a week. It's really not a lot of exercise and I think I will probebly up the walking to about 30 min. It's better than the amount of exercise I was getting- NOTHING!! I'm down 8 pounds, and I'm on my 5th week. Seems a little slow to me but they say you should only lose 1-2 pounds per week.
I eat the Slim Fast bars for lunch everyday! Does that count? Actually, I do the WW & Slim Fast combo diet. WW does work - I'm a lifetime member and just go back now & again to lose a little bit that I've gained over the winter months.
