I got home, and in my excitement about the power being on, I changed into some fresh clothes. On the way, I stepped on the scale. **Let me insert here that no one is allowed to throw things at me, my goal weight is very low because I am built small.** I was at 126.5 a couple weeks ago, and hadn't lost anything yet. I'm down to 119.5, I've been trying to get below 120 for a few months. My old jeans, the ones I fit into in January, didn't even come over my butt before, and I can *almost* get them buttoned now. **happy dance**
AWESOME!!!!! Okay, I gotta ask--how tall are you??? I'd like to weigh about 135ish and I'm 5'5" with an athletic build. I weighed 114 when I graduated from high school but I was SO skinny back then! If I weighed that now I'd look sick! lol Congrats on breaking that plateau. **happy dancin' with Crystal**
I think Crys is only 5'1" or 2" and she is a little bitty thing. Most people with weights that low are the ones I want to throw things at but I can give her a pass because she really isn't lying. Along the same lines, the battery died in my scale about two weeks ago and I haven't replaced it yet but I'm pretty sure my weight has gone down a bit even with all the holiday temptation. Unfortunately, I haven't started my baking yet and that's when it's going to get tough. Cat, I'm 5'6" and my goal weight is 135 but my friends, who I think are "normal" sized, say that is too thin and I should be shooting for 150. That just seems so much bigger to me!
Way to go Crystal. I am glad you are back at home with power!! I am 5'8" and my goal weight is 145-148, that is when I look my best. I am even okay around 150, when I start going up past that, yikes!
Oh...and I am about 158 right now, and want to get to 145-148. My goal is to be there by April.
I'm just about 5'3, and at 103 (when the kids were babies) I looked too skinny, but 108 is a good weight for me.
I had a military public health person tell me once that to figure out your ideal weight compute 100lbs for 5' and then add 5lbs for every inch after that. So at 5'5" mine would be 125lbs. She was 5'6" and said at 130 (her computed "ideal" weight) she looked too thin and she though she looked her best at 135. Who knows what I'd look like at 125! lol If I make it to 135 and can continue loosing maybe I'll find out. We'll see what 135 looks like first.
Well, I have been 140 before, actually I was 130 when I graduated from college. I was WAY too thin. I was a size 4, and looked like a rail. I also skipped meals, and wasn't healthy. I think body type has a lot to do with it. Like you Cat, I have a more athletic shape.
