Anyone tried Xenadrine???
Moms View Message Board: Let's Get Fit! (Weight Loss Support Group): Anyone tried Xenadrine???
I've never posted to a board like this before but I am hoping it will give me the motivation I need to try and lose some weight. I have been up and down with my weight for 4 years. It has come to the point where I cant look myself in the mirror anymore. I want so bad to lose it. I started yesterday taking xenadrine in hopes to boost my energy and get me going. I started walking and hope to build it to a jog. Anyone know of any good exercises to tone my midsection. I have the baby pouch I cant get rid of. I need to lose 50 - 60 pounds to get back into a healthy weight. Thanks for the support!!
I don't know about xenadrine. I find that just getting up, taking a shower and getting dressed helps with my energy. Most people probably do that anyways but mornings are hard for me and if I don't do that then I won't get "started" really until noon. I am up and doing stuff with the kids, but not cleaning and stuff utnil evening. anyways there are no magic pills. Be careful in what you take. Good luck and keep going you have to start somewhere.
Are you using the Ephedra Free? Please be very carful if you are not...I have taken Xtreme Lean *Ephedra Free* (generic to Xenadrine, less than 1/2 the price with the same ingredients, can be found at Wal-Mart) while changing my diet and working out...It helped give me the energy I needed to get going and I did really well on it until we moved...but thats a whole different story.
I agree, be careful. Ephedrin just scares me. Diet pills are so tempting, but scary. You have to also watch for the "herbal" form of ephedrin too. The name escapes me now though! If I get a chance later, I'll post more.
Eve, I think Ma Huang is the herbal name for ephedra...I agree, it can be very dangerous! I took ephedra-containing pills for a few years a while back, and, while they did give me energy, I am now dealing with a heart problem. I don't know *if* it's at all related, but who can be sure? Please, be careful, anyone who's thinking of taking these pills. And do your research
I tried it a couple of years ago (had a friend that swore she lost 40lbs on it). Yes, I had extra energy. No, I did not loose weight. It made me jittery and shot my blood pressure sky high. I really wouldn't recomend it. I joined Curves back in May and am now trying their weight loss program. In the past 5 weeks I've lost 10lbs and have gone from 29.2% body fat to 27.6%. It is either low carb or low calorie, and the purpose is to increase your metabolism so you can achieve permanent results without permanent dieting. It also, of course, includes an exercise program (30 minutes 3 times a week). Please be careful with diet pills. If you look at all the ads and watch the tv commercials carefully, I bet 99% somewhere say "results not typical". Just mho.
I tried Xenadrine (Ephedra Free formula) but didn't really see any results. I took Metabolife several years ago and lost 50lbs, kept it off for about a year and then bam..I gained it back plus 30 more to go with it. Since then I have read on several occasions that these drugs can actually lower your metabolism when you stop taking them. Your body becomes dependent on them. I would stay away from them and concentrate on a healthy low carb/low fat diet and exercise. I have found out that walking out the door is the hardest part, after I manage that it's easy. Good Luck with whatever you decide to do.
