I posted a week or so ago on the main board that ds probably needed an adjustment to his adhd meds. Well, he goes to the dr today, thank goodness. He has been driving me insane. He's been getting up early, like today I got up at 6 and he was already up. He got into the cabinet, took out the main thing of salt and poked holes in it with a pencil. Salt was strewn all over the kitchen. He is 7 years old! Almost 8. I can't get him to listen to anything and punishments aren't working, since he can't really help it...it is so frustrating. I was really encouraged when he started the meds b/c he was my sweet little guy again. At least before he didn't do anything destructive. I feel helpless, and then I feel guilty that I'm happy it was time for him to go to school..it's just one little thing after another with him. UGH!

I understand how you feel. There are many days when I think that bus can't get here fast enough so that I can relax a bit. It really is so frustrating dealing with the ups and downs of behaviours and meds. I hope the doc helps you to get things figured out, for your sake and your son's.

Thanks. They changed his dosage. I hope this works- he and I both need some relief.
