Christopher has his surgery tomorrow to revise his curcumcision(sp?). I know it isn't a major surgery but it still makes me nervous knowing that my baby is going under. We don't know what time it is going to be yet. They are supposed to call me today between 3 and 4PM to let me know all that. PLease keep him in your thoughts and prayers. God, I hope this works. He has been thru so much with adhesions. Everytime they have pulled the skin back to release adhesions it grows back with in a month. The urologist he was seeing before wouldn't take anymore skin off. When he had the distended bladder he had to go to a specialist and he looked at it and said oh I will fix that. WHAT??! After all he has been thru. I wish to god I would have found this Dr. a long time ago. Thanks for reading and TIA for thoughts and prayers.
Poor thing! I know how you feel, when my Christopher was 11 months old, he had a simple procedure done to open a tear duct. It only took five minutes or so, but I was so nervous about the anesthesia. I'm glad you finally found a doctor who is willing to help, and I'll be thinking about your Christopher
I know how you feel my little man was done just hours after being born, so I know how you feel. but all is going to go well and your little Christopher will not have any more problems with it.
Good luck to you and Christopher.
Thanks girls! We have to be there at 8:15am. His surgery is at 10:15am. They say it should take about 35 minutes. It almost got cancelled due to his Medicaid ending as of yesterday. He now has a Medically Needy Share of Cost. But because the surgery will cost so much they will pay for it. They didn't let me know I needed a letter saying he had that so they could go ahead with it until 4:55pm today. It was too late to call and have something faxed to me and I haven't recieved anything in the mail yet. I was so mad I could have just started screaming at that lady. But I kept my cool and told them that he has been scheduled for months and DH took off work and this is causing his pee pee to be sore and we could not put it off. So one of their people got on thier computer and found a screen that said Medically Needy-Enrolled, just no names but they used my social so they know it was in our household so they said they would go ahead with it. That was very irritating. They should have called much sooner if they needed something so I could have tine to get it. Ok I will quit now. Thanks for reading. Send us good vibes. TIA
Sending lots of prayers and good wishes for a speedy recovery. Ame
Good luck. Jeff had to go through that. I'm sure he will be just fine. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
Well we are home! He did great! The Dr. said that there was more to do than he expected. He had to take a small piece of skin from the top to put on the bottom. Christopher has stitches all the way around the head and straight down the middle on the bottom and into his testicle sack. It looks terrible right now. He is on Lortab Elixir and Neosporin. When he goes to the potty he looks at it and asks me if it looks funny. I just tell him it looks fine. He is having a hard time going pee pee right now but that is so totally expected. The surgery was supposed to take 30-45 mins and it ended up taking 1 hr. and 20 mins. DH was s nervous wreck. He couldn't stand not being right there with him thru it all. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers!!
OUCH! Poor little guy. Definitely a bigger deal than Jeff's was. Keep that Lortab in him the next couple days so he doesn't hurt. The problem with letting pain in that area get ahead of you is if it hurts, he might be afraid to urinate, and you don't want him retaining it. Hope he heals quickly!!!!!!!
Quick healing, for sure...
I'm glad the surgery went well. I hope he heals quickly, poor little guy!
Ouch! Poor little man! Too funny about your dh, though! lol Big hugs to you and huge, delicate hugs to your little guy!
