I stopped nursing Mason. The weekend of July 4th was the last time. I've been crampy ever since, but still nothing. I'm wanting to get this over with! I haven't had a period since March 2005! Eeeks! When is it supposed to start up again or does it vary? I can't remember with DD--it's been too long. Thanks.

I think this varies a lot from woman to woman and even from baby to baby. I BF Ty for 6 mos. and I don't think my period returned until a couple months later. I nursed B for 16 mos., but got my period when she started on solids at 6 mos..

I know it varies. With me, I got my period eight weeks after giving birth, and I breastfed both of my boys for at least 14 months. I nursed my older son for 18 months. I had a period each month.

Maybe it will come in a couple of weeks?

I breastfed both of mine, until about 6 months old. My period came back at 4 months, both times, although with Emily, it was irregular for a few months afterwards, until it finally settled back into my old pattern.

I was nursing, working and pumping, both times, so pumping probably isn't as good as a baby nursing.

Lucky you... I just started mine at 7 weeks post partum and Nathan breastfeeds like crazy. Guess i'm not one of those lucky ones.
